Gentlemen, I write this not really looking for advice or opinion. My IPP date is set for this Thursday 8/14/25. Be there at 6am. I wont change my mind, but the questions remain in my head. Is this the right thing to do? Will I heal quick? How much length or size will be lost, etc, etc, etc. All the questions anyone has had, I have the same.
A little about me. 57, married 33 years, fantastic supportive wife. ED for the last 5. It started slowly. Cialis and Viagra worked for awhile, but then, not so much. Tried gains wave (what a joke). Moved to Trimix. At first Trimix was great, but then it also became hit and miss. I'm at the point now if I want to have sex it takes 20mg Cialis, 100mg Viagra and Trimix at a huge dose. The problem is I get a headache from the Viagra and my dick hurts from the Trimix. Plus it hurts so much I am unable to achieve orgasm. Without any meds I cant get it up, nor do I get any morning wood. I am in shape, not over weight and on TRT. My libido is awesome. Deep down I know this is the best choice for me, and yet I'm nervous and anxious.
Part of my nervousness is knowing this is the last resort. it's final, however with a unit that doesn't work now, I am ready to do this. I'm to young to stop having sex with my wife! I'm hopeful my result will be like so many of you. I have asked my Dr. most of the questions I have. FT has done wonders for all the questions I have had and forgot to ask the DR. I thank all of you for being so open and writing your experiences. It has really helped me.
Thanks again to all of you on FT, even the ones that say don't do it, or have had bad results. Without both sides of a conversation you have nothing. Wish me luck.

Hi there. Just thought I would wish you best of luck and looking forward to hear another success story from you soon!
Out of curiosity, before 5 years ago when ED started for you, did you ever fail to keep an erection in your life ever? If so, how frequently did you fail before you started to be concerned?

37yo with venous leak and arterial insufficiency since I was 18yo due to a motorcycle accident. Pills started to be unreliable even at max dosage. Tried PRP and Shockwaves with no luck. Considering getting an inflatable with Dr. Antonini soon.

I don't really know when it all started. I would think maybe I drank to much or lose my erection when changing positions. So I did not really see what was happening until it got really bad. At that point I knew I had a real problem. So like many I started with pills. When I started with pills they worked great and I had no idea they could fail.

Re: Nervous and anxious
Being nervous is to be expected. Yes, that is the final step since pills and injections are unreliable.
Glad you found Frank Talk to answer many of your questions.
Hope all goes well.

Re: Nervous and anxious
No matter what your perceived outcome is if it gets you back into your sexual game it will be worth it in the end. At least you have a supportive spouse many of us don't we end up on the end path of this journey with a functioning cock and nothing to do with it. Quit worrying about size ..it will take a good year for everything to settle down .. I have had 2 MMP's put in within a year of each other ..now a year into the last one ..it is what it is but at least if I wanted to do something and had someone to do it with I could, I think that was worth it for sure ..
Rigicon since 6-2023 happy to share my experience and do show and tell

What I mean is, did you occasionally fail to stay hard when you were in your 20s, 30s, 40s? If so, how often?

To the best of memory I never failed until sometime in my 40's. But I dont know when it started.

Getting close.
Start cutting back on your food tomorrow but keep liquids up.
Tell your wife she’ll love it and in six weeks her eyes will roll back in her head.

Re: Nervous and anxious
SilkyFox,
I definitely know what you are going through being nervous and anxious. It was sort of a shock when your urologist tells you that he has a fix for your ED but then he tells you there is no turning back after you get it done.
My ED started in my mid 40's too. I'm retired Air Force so I got my viagra and cialis through the military system and it worked well until my early 60's.
It was such a pain to try and schedule sex and pop a pill when you think you're gonna get lucky.
I would have to take it without having a meal that would cancel it out in my late 50's and early 60's.
I started having prostrate problems also in my early 60's, I went to see my military urologist about the problems I was having and the pre appointment questionnaire had tons of questions about sexual health, so I just poured out my soul with all my ED problems.
So after the appointment about my prostrate, which they scheduled a procedure to shrink my benign enlarged prostrate, they showed me a video about a permanent solution to ED, which was the IPP.
I had the prostrate procedure done first, which was the Boston Scientific Rezum procedure which allows you to keep your normal ejaculate, I had total ED afterwards. I'm thinking the steam injections hit some of the nerves down there, so nothing would get me hard after that.
I had to deal with that for 3 months until I got my AMS 700 LGX.
It was a journey the first year, but I'm almost 4 years out from surgerynow and everything is great and sex is great.
I LOVE MY BIONIC onDemand DICK
No more worrying about when to take a pill, just pump and go
My wife started Hormone replacement therapy a little over a year ago and it's like we are back in our early 30's.
Good Luck SilkyFox
