Mid-30s just had an install

Postby 30sAdventurer » Wed Aug 20, 2025 7:00 pm

Hi everyone

Thanks for posting in here, it was a great source of intel to me as part of the decision making process before I had an implant.

I am in my mid-30s and have had an AMS LGX implanted. Had my surgery last Monday (so now about a week and a half in).

First few days was very painful, in a different way to what I expected, though I was more mobile than I thought I would be.

The swelling hasn’t been too bad and I’ve made good progress each day. After a week and a half I’m no longer feeling too much pain during the day though sleeping is a bit tricky.

Two areas which were particularly sore:

1. My scrotum. I was exceptionally tender around the pump for days, really bad. It’s improving a tiny bit now day by day but I am really apprehensive about pumping and deflating - I can tell it’s going to take my scrotum some time to get used to using the pump, I’m hoping it becomes more pliable in time (the nurse warned me it’s going to be tough for a little bit to break in).

2. My surgeon tried deflating my penis after surgery but it was too painful so left me half deflated. Where the implant was partially inflated and my
penis was bending I got ‘dog ears’ which were excruciating while my penis was more sore, particularly at night. I was really concerned that the pain would always be like that! The nurse told me it’s the least bad with the LGX as it’s pliable and for anyone with a Coloplast they can expect the pain to be worse (and the dog ears much more prominent).

I am keen to be helpful to the community as I continue on this journey. I won’t lie, on the day I decided to get the operation done I walked out of the hospital appointment and cried walking down the street, but now my implant and I are getting used to one another I can really see some hope here and I’m looking forward to starting to cycle! Fingers crossed everything works as it should but the surgeon was very happy with everything and says I’m recovering as quickly as possible.

Thanks all!

Congrats on your surgery! It sounds like your recovery is about as expected, based on other posts. Hopefully the pain will subside quickly over the next week or two.

If you don't mind, if you could update your signature with things like your surgeon, pre-op measurements, size and brand of implant, date of surgery, etc, that really helps people out when replying to you so they don't have to ask too many questions.

Congrats brother!

I won’t lie either, I still tear up every now and then.

Rest up, recuperate, and soon you will be loving your new cock.

Be well,

+1 for what ElbowRoom said. The more information you can provide the more likely you'll get better answers.

That said, welcome to the bionic brotherhood 30sAdventurer! I have the same model implant.
Yes what you've described all sounds pretty normal based on my own experience.
While everyone's journey is slightly different, it's likely that you'll grow to love your implant over time.
It can be frustrating early on due to discomfort and suddenly having large foreign objects in the most sensitive parts of your body.
For me the LGX is now very comfortable at close to 6 months in, and it probably started to feel that way after 8-10 weeks or so.
It feels great even when I'm not using it and, other than having a larger package, I don't generally notice it when active or going about my business.
Don't hesitate to take pain relief when you need it. Once you start cycling it will probably also be uncomfortable at first.
Take it slowly and build up your tolerance, it will get better! Then you can actually use it and appreciate the superpower you now have :D.

30sAdventurer, congrats on a successful procedure, and welcome to the bionic brotherhood. What you described about your recovery sounds pretty normal so hang in there. Remember ice is your friend. I found that over time my brain processes the implant (like other types of prosthetics I suppose) as just another part of my body. You think about it constantly now, but soon you'll hardly think about it until you're ready for some fun !

You are all so kind I’m really overwhelmed!

For those that mentioned my signature I’ve updated it but let me know if there’s stuff that is mandatory to be including!

The last few days has progressed well, I’m feeling way less pain now.

In the first week I had a real loss of sensitivity in my shaft. This worried me. Now I have lost that, for my penis it feels when I am touching my shaft fairly similar to before, the thing that doesn’t feel different it what my hand feels. I can clearly feel an implant when I am flaccid, where the implant folds up to accommodate the space. However, I am not majorly bothered by this right now. If I wanted my flaccid penis to be the focus of everything I wouldn’t have got this implant!

I’ve also had to try and masturbate, I couldn’t hold it in longer, and I have enough sensitivity in my glans and shaft to orgasm fairly similarly to before. I was worried about this before so consider it a big win and think this will be better when I can fully inflate!

I am a bit nervous at the moment about the sensitivity in my ballsack where I need to squeeze the pump. The pump and deflate button are very stiff and the interior of my scrotum feels extremely tender around it. It has (admittedly) got better in the last week and a half, but I have a nervousness that it’s going to be really challenging to cycle…

My surgeon said to me when I did a week one check-in that I needed to cycle as soon as possible. So I am itching to do it as soon as I can!
