Due to a venous leak that has no explainable cause I've had problems maintaining an erection since the age of 20 or 21. Tried every solution (pills, injections) besides vein ligation and embolisation. The venous leak was first suspected during a doppler and confirmed during a cavernosonography last year. Now in my mid 20s I decided that despite probably having to do a couple revisions I'm going with an implant because honestly living this way is just terrible and if there's a solution that will get me even only 8 years of good sex I'm going to give it a shot.
While people in the US on here have heaps of choices, they're a bit more limited in Europe so my choices were initially Dr. Ralph (UK), Dr. Osmonov (Germany) and Dr. Antonini (Italy). I don't remember anymore how exactly but I think someone mentioned once the name of Dr. Swiniarski on this or another Forum and I stumbled upon the Website of his clinic called Menvita. He had very good reviews on the Polish doctor review site znanylekarz, and after exchanging a few emails I booked an online consultation with him. One thing that also made me confident in that choice is that he did an apprenticeship at Dr. Ralph's clinic and is the only doctor in Poland that teaches surgeons implantation techniques.
I explained my issues and he said that from what it sounds like I'd be a candidate for an implant. I've sent him the documents from the doppler and cavernosonography, hormones etc before so he knew what he was dealing with. He suggested that he could refer me to his radiologist collegue who could try doing an embolisation if I wanted to go down that route, but having talked to several doctors even from multiple countries about this topic I declined due to a lack of promising long term results. He himself said that this surgery has mixed results, but if I wanted to do this beforehand we could go for it. I had to still come in person so he could see if I don't have any abnormalities that would prevent me from being eligible from surgery, but this was luckily a quick process. The nurses were very nice and the clinic in general had a very appealing tone, it felt a bit like a spaceship. He also has an entire team of doctors who all are related to andrology. The doctor was very sympathetic and had an answer for every single question I had, also has a good sense of humour. I was told he does around 50 implants per year which was really good to hear and made me much more comfortable with the entire process. He also gave me the number of a guy my age who had this procedure done and agreed to talk to me about it. He was very positive and told me that he was very happy with the decision and that it was a good experience put in a short way, but we talked about 2 hours about it on the phone in all detail.
I was scheduled for surgery on the 18th of August, I booked a stay for 7 days. The recommendation is staying for 5 days in Warsaw, but a checkup is needed 7 days after surgery so I didn't want to go back home just to return 2 days later. Two weeks before I had to send in some blood markers, results from an ECG, urine culture results and a few other things, everything could be done at home luckily. I arrived in Warsaw on Sunday, checked in at the hotel and ate dinner. Relaxed a bit, nothing else to do really.
18/08/25
Day of the surgery I checked in at the clinic in the morning, very nervous of course. I talked to the anaesthesiologist first who told me that they'll inject a nerve block into my back first and then put me to sleep. After agreeing to it and signing a consent form, I waited for maybe 5 minutes and Dr. Swiniarski and another doctor invited me to the office to get the last bits of information out of the way. They inspected my penis and asked me a few questions. Dr. Swiniarski told me that it's great that I've been using the VED before the surgery (he suggested it to me during the last visit). After that I was led into a small room with two beds and told to dress up into a gown and some slippers. After that I went into the operation room, first they inserted an IV and I got the nerve block injection in the back. After a minute or so they put the mask on me and I was out.
Two hours later or so I regained consciousness. The nerve block and the anaesthesia were still almost in full action so I felt really good. I could hear the surgeons from the other room operating on another guy (I think they did 3 or 4 implants that day). After an hour or so they wheeled the other guy in who was also staying in the same room overnight. Soon after a nurse came in and talked a bit to me, gave me my phone and headphones so I could kill some time. I was asked to lift myself up a bit, probably to check if the nerve block is still in action and if I can they'll bring me something to eat which I was very eager to do because I couldn't have breakfast that day. First I got some soup which was very nice, then a schnitzel with salad and potatoes. The pain was slowly creeping up but was held in check pretty well by the pain killers from the IV. Guy next to me woke up and we started chatting, from the voice he seemed to be same or similar age as me. We were both still a bit drugged out so lots of things we talked about were so funny to me that I had to calm myself not to laugh too much so I won't herniate the reservoir lol. We asked for the nurses to get the curtains out of the way so we could talk normally. I was pretty scared to look at my penis so I didn't do it that day and was just chilling in bed. We just talked a lot, I scrolled some Instagram and relaxed, I don't think I would have been able to watch a movie or read a book really.
The doctor came around and said the operation went well without complications and that he'll tell the details tomorrow because we won't remember them anyways (which was true). I think they operated two other guys after and during that time the nurses were taking care of us, very kind and helpful. I was asked if I wanted to eat something for dinner and got a chicken salad which was pretty decent. At around 21:00 the doctor checked in on us again and told us that the nurse will remove the catheters in the morning and that after we should drink a lot because he wanted us to pee twice before leaving.

I didn't sleep much that night sadly because of being nervous and also because the nerve block was letting up, but it was fine really. At most the pain was 5/10 I'd say, but I was constantly more scared of the pain to come than of the pain right now. Also I was really worried about getting the catheter removed.
At 4:30 I called the nurse and asked to be given some pain killers (the last ones I've been administered probably at 22:00 the day before), so she hooked me up to the IV again. At 5:30 she came in again and told us that she'll remove the catheters. I was so scared of this that my entire bed was wet from the cold sweat. I already googled multiple times how uncomfortable or painful catheters are beforehand, so this also added to it. I looked away of course (I still haven't seen my penis) and she told me to breathe in. A slight burning sensation and she was done, no pain at all just a weird feeling. I was very relieved and started drinking water instantly so I can pee and I won't have to get this thing inserted again. Some time passed me and the other guy were chatting, I scrolled on my phone a bit. The doctor came in around 6:30 and inspected the penis, changed the bandages and did something with the pump (I didn't ask what) which was uncomfortable but not painful really. My penis felt more sore than painful, but all the time he was changing the bandages I was waiting for a sharp pain that never came. He put some kind of ointment on the wounds and then I was bandaged up again. I asked him about how the surgery went and he said that it went really well and that he inserted the largest LGX (21cm), no RTEs. He brought the AMS 700 LGX booklet and documents with him which described exactly how the surgery was performed in Polish and English so that I can give this to another surgeon in case I wanted to do a revision or something else.
He told us to pee twice and that then we were free to go and that he scheduled a visit the next day. I had some breakfast first, bread with cheese, ham, some vegetables and yoghurt which was really good, the bread especially. In addiction to this I had some tea. I would have taken coffee because they also offered it but for some reason I didn't like the idea of pouring down coffee into me after having had surgery. The uncomfortable feeling I had when laughing or flexing my abs in general let up at that point and I got an Ibuprofen pill in the morning (they removed the IV same time they removed the catheter). The first time peeing was quite a bit uncomfortable. The doctor told me to pee sitting, but my penis was quite sore and left inflated after the surgery so I peed standing bending into my knees. After standing up and heading to the bathroom the first time I had to look at my penis and to my surprise it looked completely normal with no swelling at all neither on the shaft nor in the scrotum, just the two spots from the cylinder insertions were visible. Peeing itself wasn't so bad, it burned a little bit at first and the stream was a bit weak, but I managed to do it. After that I went back to bed and drank some more water. One of the nurses asked if I wanted some sweets and got me two protein bars which was nice. After an hour or so I tried peeing again and had a good stream with minimal burning.
I got dressed and left at the same time the other guy did because the person who picked him up picked up some paracetamol and the prescribed antibiotics for me too which was nice. I think I probably would have managed to go to the pharmacy alone because walking was quite ok for me, but it was probably better not to. The only uncomfortable thing was the pump and the soreness of my penis. I took a cab to where I'm staying and just laid on my bed and dozed off a bit. The night wasn't that pleasant, but the paracetamol helped. I like to sleep on my side and this wasn't really comfortable at that point. Peeing was still a bit annoying because my penis was about 80% inflated, but it was doable.
20/08/25
In the morning I took a cab to the clinic again to get the first check up. The doctor said that everything was healing exceptionally well and that everything looks good. He replaced the bandages and again put some ointments on the wound. Then he deflated my penis a bit to around 60% which was a weird sensation and a bit uncomfortable but not painful at all. This was really good because I could now walk much more comfortably and not have to think that people would see me walking around with an erection all the time. I only took paracetamol twice that day and went to a store next by to get a snack, I think I walked 1500m in total. No issues at all, very comfortable.
21/08/25
I sleep really well the night before and woke up quite refreshed. I had my appointment in the morning again, in which the doctor again replaced the bandages and told me that the healing is going really well and that there is barely any inflammation. Even on the cab ride I noticed that I was feeling completely comfortable sitting and even now I've been sitting in the hotel for two hours or so in a chair on my laptop and doing some light work. Before I went for a little walk again to the store. I'm really happy with all of this, I didn't expect to feel this well so shortly after the surgery. Tomorrow I again will go in for a checkup to get my bandages either replaced or removed and will also be able to shower again which I'm looking forward to. Haven't taken any painkillers yet, but might take some for the night.
The surgery itself was 70k PLN out of pocket, which is around 15k Euro. If I went with a Titan or a CX it would have been only 60k, but I wanted to go with the LGX due to the a bit more normal flaccid appearance. My experience so far has been stellar and if you're anywhere in central Europe looking for an implant you should strongly consider Dr. Swiniarskis clinic. Will update accordingly.

Thanks guys, means a lot to me
@Kodixx
In regards to the icing I haven't really done that, but maybe I should give it a shot if the pain acts up again. The doctor didn't really recommend any other ways of pain management besides OTC pain killers, but I haven't asked him specifically about it.

Getting better day by day. I slept well again, I woke up with slight discomfort but changed position and fell asleep almost instantly again. Today I had my last check up this week, the doctor wasn't here today but one of the nurses who he assured me knows everything inspected the wounds and replaced the bandage. I only have a small one below my shaft that is sticked to my scrotum and another one on the spot where the wound drain was placed. She told me that I could shower today (finally) and that I'd probably only need to replace the bandage on the scrotum. I took a cab to the Hotel and later even had breakfast with the other guests (I usually ordered food to my room), so I'm slowely but surely returning to normal activities. Also went on a small walk again.
My next visit is on Monday to completely deflate the implant, so I'll probably post then unless something unexpected happens. For now I'll just be recovering!

You have a great recovery and there probably won't be much issues.
Are you 50% inflated or flacid?

I'd say 60% inflated? I was 80% inflated straight after surgery and at the first follow up visit Dr. Swiniarski deflated me a bit so I'm more comfortable. Waiting to be deflated on Monday so I can pee normally

Also thanks for your activity on here, the account I've made is new but I've lurking the forums for around a year now and your posts helped me in my decision to be honest. This community is great in general and I'm happy that I found this forum.

Thanks! It's a miracle really, the doctor said I was probably 1 in 20 in regards to healing and recovery. Zero visible swelling, bruising or any other marks on the shaft and scrotum besides the mentioned spots on the glans which almost disappeared by now and the incision of course. I was very surprised when I went peeing the day after surgery and looked at my penis. I was expecting some swollen abomination, but instead it was just a nice sore but erect penis. Amazing work by the surgeon, but he also said that I'm simply very lucky (probably being humble though).
I'll be taught how to cycle in two weeks, hopefully I can regain some size. I'm aware that I should ignore the current size for a few months. I hope that I can go back to pre surgery length which was about 6.5 inches using a VED. I'd be happy with 6 inches too or honestly any reasonable functional size, but the 80% inflated size looked a bit small at first
