Advice

Postby Manonfire » Tue Aug 26, 2025 4:57 am

Hey Fellas,
So I was implanted in 2018 after prostate CA in 2017 at the VA. I've always felt like mine (AMS 700 LGX) was undersized and over filled. When I pump it, it makes it too stiff and hard for the wife, causing her pain.

I'm considering having a swap done next year with the malleable implant, and also install the artificial urinary sphincter or AUS (I still have bladder leaks).

Have any of you exchanged implants from the pump to malleable? Did it make sex better? A bit more flexible? Any regrets and would you do it again?

Also, those of you with the AUS, experiences, any regrets? Thx
Age 51, had prostate cancer. Surgery to remove prostate 12/17. Implanted 3/18, at VA Medical center in Cincinnati. AMS, LGX 15cm, 3cm RTEs.

The reservoir might be overfilled but it doesn't matter because the cylinders only accomodate what they can hold..so overfilling is not a thing but rather the problem is it's too stiff for your wife..have you tried lube and not inflating it to 100% ? And why do you think it's undersized ? Do the cylinders reach 1/3 or half the glans ? Do you have droopy glans ?

After I press the deflate it reduces but stays very firm. There's no flexibility at zero. Even if I only squeeze once or twice it's rigid as a rock but too short. Sadly I was 7in prior to surgery and now I get 3-5in. I know there's a size loss post surgery, as the doc explained.

There's plenty of lube so it's not an issue. The other issue is the base where it forks. Often she can feel it and it begins to cause pain. It doesn't help that I'm also anorgasmic (difficult to climax) most of the time.

I dearly love my lady, she's half my age (I'm 58yo now). And my libido is high since I'm on trt.

Before going to an AUS you might review my post titled Controlling Incontinence with an IPP in the members only section. Briefly, I discovered after reading a Korean study that I could control the leaks by inflating to 30% all day. The study was regarding several men who had ED and incontinence due to prostate surgery All were implanted with IPP's. 72.2% gained control by inflating from 30% to 90%. The amount varies with the individual. I have learned by my own experience that if I sleep with 100% inflation, I don't need to inflate during the day, but I do not squeeze to totally deflate. I just hit the release button and let the fluid equalize. It works for me, and 3 other FT members have reported to me that it has solved their problems as well. You have the equipment. What do you have to lose? Let us know how it goes.

so it was a full year from your prostate surgery to your implant surgery ?
if so , is that the reason for your size loss ? as extended periods of ED ,with no nocturnal erections are known to cause size loss , the several nightly woodies is the maintenance for our dick health .
But going to a malleable will only cause more loss of length and a bunch of girth . with malleables they shorten it by a third of an inch, and girth ? good luck .
personally , i would think ,if you did that ipp thing of cycling in your, me time ,with less than 100% pumped for pleasuring the wifey , would be the best way to go .
At least you have the possibility to gain some of your size back . Not so with a malleable . You get what you went in with .AND nearly always with a significant amount of loss of girth. Save a few lucky dudes . Myself not included .
American , retired in the philippines .
tactra malleable 13 mm ,in new delhi India . on april 2024
