Implant with Hard Flaccid - will there be rod erosion?

Postby Seeking » Fri Aug 29, 2025 3:59 pm

Please Note: I've searched the archives for this and found some really useful posts, but wanted to post a fresh thread as I'm losing my mind here.

I'm scheduled for an implant with David Ralph in London (NHS, not private) in early November. I've handed my fate over to the universe in terms of infection risk, sizing issues etc. but there's one worry I can't shake - as a hard flaccid sufferer, what happens when I'm fully implanted and I have an 'episode' where my penis contracts and shrivels up? My HF size and my relaxed size are very very different and I wonder if I'm sized when relaxed, what are the implications when I'm conscious and my penis contracts?

Some really insightful posts here mentioned that the muscles involved in HF 'episodes' are severed during the operation which would solve the whole issue - seems too good to be true though?

Are there any true HF sufferers here who could verify whether their contracting episodes ceased after their surgery? Any sufferers who had problems with erosion?
38 Years Old. HF symptoms since age 23 (tight pelvic floor).
Tried pills, sclerotherapy.
At about 40% function currently but reluctant to wait much longer for an implant.

SEVERE HF after a bacterial infection is why I got implanted as I had nothing else to lose. Contraction stops after implant as the corpora is stripped out; I have had no contraction episodes after implantation. There was even improvement in my ejaculation as the corporeal contraction would compress the urethra. It’s nice to shoot again.

Doctor had no problem stretching my penis, probably because they do it REALLY hard (after all, it’s not their penis). I experienced no length loss. I would think the neuromuscular sedation probably helps as well.
40. Implanted July 5, 2024, AMS LGX, 21cm cylinders + 2cm RTEs. Idiopathic "hard flaccid" ED following bacterial infection. Tried pulse waves, Cialis, TRT, even spinal injections. Nada.
