1 month mark since my implant and my very positive recovery experience continues on:
- Followed all my doctor's guidelines (compression underwear, cleaning instructions, antibiotics/other post surgery medicine, exercise and movement restrictions, pump stretching exercises) + TRT weekly
- Only exercise I am doing is light rucking/walking to maintain muscle
- Cleared for sex end of week 3 post opp appt
- Everything feels a lot more in place now down there
- The 3d/raised incision is subsiding, while still visible, I can tell it will be barely be visible
- The scratchy feel is almost gone, at least subsided
- Continuing with my twice a day cycling for 20 minutes. This helped significantly with my comfort with weapon handling... I can pump it with one hand and fairly fast now.
Here comes what I wondered a lot before getting the implant. I have put the implant through its paces after being cleared and here my experiences so far:
LICENSE TO DRILL
- I have always been a very high libido person even at the depths of my ED experience which made it extremely mentally exhausting constantly worrying about staying hard on and throwing max dose pills, injections and getting sub par response and being prepared before go time.
- Having an implant that requires no prep, no mental energy and pump and go is INCREDIBLE for a person like me
- Titan Coloplast gets so hard at max pump (I don't think I could feel this hard even at my younger days). I am very impressed and obviously it gives an incredible impression to the partner.
- While the pump in the scrotum is definitely feels like a 3rd testicle, I have not had any comments about it. It is fairly hidden especially in the heat of the moment.
- The best part... no refractory period... you can keep going as long and as much as you like. This is an incredible advantage. Post action feedback has been off the charts... Round after round.
- Ejaculation feels a little different. Certainly not same as before. it certainly feels like less natural release. Hard to explain but almost feels like the load is pushing through rather than slinging out. Not an impediment to pleasure and from what I read it will get better.
- Tried most common positions. One shift is you certainly need to pay attention angles as certain angles doesnt feel as natural as before and I can feel the implant slightly bending. It is not uncomfortable per se, but makes your brain goes am I going to damage it? I elected to shift my body to accommodate more comfortable angles.
- Some positions which requires penis pointing up like girl on top has been terrible with ED as I could never sustain and would come up with reasons to immediately switch out during my ed days. Now, those positions are not a problem. Hard as a rock regardless where the penis is pointing.
- One issue I had was the gland/head is certainly doesnt engorge as much as before but I can tell it will improve. I tried with some sildenafil and it certainly got to pre-surgery size. So dont think this is going to be issue long term.
Overall, extremely happy with my choice, pump type and very satisfactory and relatively fast recovery. Thanks everyone again for all the contributors in this forum. Been a long time lurker before I elected to go this path and learned a lot.
Now the main concern I have is how long will this last. Given the experience, I am going to be probably overusing this and no way this will last me the usual 10-12 years. LOL.

Nobody can give a good answer to this. There’s guys who use it daily for 10 plus years and never have an issue. There’s a guy who got implanted and shortly after had a stroke and never used it and his died at about 10 years…. Your guess is as good as anybody’s so just enjoy as much as you can and be prepared at some point to have a revision. If you would be paying cash then have the money available, if you have insurance that covers always keep enough $$ for your deductible and time off for recovery. And then go on and don’t worry about what ifs and when’s. It is what it is. I’m at 3 years and 3 months and going strong. Pumped 2 times a day for 30 minutes for first year and then at least 3 times a week ever since. Some weeks maybe 5-6 times. Sometimes 2-3 times in one day so just enjoy and deal with it when it happens.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast with Classic pump 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong
