I’m recently implanted, five weeks old. I have noticed that I have started getting a bit of a bend in the cylinder on one side.
I think it’s from where it’s flaccid. There is a bend which happens naturally from where my penis is hanging. It seems to then be getting worse when I inflate it to the point where my penis is bending to one side and I have a bump in the cylinder, which doesn’t go away when it’s fully inflated.
Is this something that others have experienced?

Kinks/bends in implant
35 year old. Suffering ED most of my life, psychological. Pills didn’t work, injections were not spontaneous enough for my sexlife and the 2h erection afterwards HURT.

Re: Kinks/bends in implant
Thanks, it’s Ralph in the UK. As it stands the procedure has been a success with quick recovery, so I think he’s done a very good job.
I have some increasing anxiety about losing girth, I’m thinner now than I was but I am praying cycling starts showing some progress over the coming weeks.
Regarding the divot/slight bump in the cylinder, I am wondering whether it might be to do with the malleability of the cylinder at this stage. The area in question is where the implant folds or bends when it is deflated (where I get some bunching up / I can feel dog ears under the skin). Could it be that the cylinder has just become more flexible in that spot and the rest of the implant will in time?
Sorry some of these questions may be obvious to many of the readers here!

Re: Kinks/bends in implant
Hopefully you’re just experiencing what we all call dog ears. Mine got very sore at times where it would bend when flaccid. Time heals all if that’s what it is. Either way you’ll need to wait a while to see how things smooth out. Should have a follow up appointment coming. Discuss with Dr if possible. If you have more serious concerns then go back in or even do a video conference with the nurse or Dr.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast with Classic pump 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong

Re: Kinks/bends in implant
I had...and still have the bump issue.
I got really concerned about it and just kept waiting it out. I got a call from one of the consultants, a year after the implant, to close my case.
I told the consultant about it, and he explained how the tips may not meet the glans equally, but he explained it very well in more detail. Im not too great at holding onto info, so I can't give you much more than that.
He put me at ease and said If you have no problem with it, then it is no problem. And, if it gets much worse, then get in touch.
Mine goes away and appears more when there is less engorgement.
Try this......
Inflate the implant fully and then do kegels to push blood and some kind of engorgement into your penis. If like mine the bump reduces or completely goes, you have the same thing.
It is not an issue for me now and I ignore it. Mine can completely go with engorgement or/kegels, but I just don't give it attention anymore, as sex is so banging.
I hope that helps.

Re: Kinks/bends in implant
I do not have an implant.
I have been searching this forum for my own IPP curiosity. One of the searches I did was “popping”. Guys talking about their IPP’s breaking up PD types of fibrosis.
I am also curious about using a VED post-op. But that’s a conversation between doctors and patients respectively.
IMHO and non-professional opinion, seems to me a VED could aid pulling/expanding to allow an IPP to push and break up fibrosis.
Again, I’m no doctor and don’t have an IPP. I’m just reading about guys reporting “popping” sensations with IPP’s.
