Question about silicone implants

Postby Nick74 » Thu Sep 25, 2025 2:53 pm

I’m a 51 year old male with ED for the past few years. Pills don’t work for me anymore, and I don’t want to push higher doses because I have tinnitus. I have a consultation for an implant on October 23, and I’m hoping for some advice.
Question: About 10 years ago I had silicone injections for girth enhancement. Could that be a problem for the surgeon when placing an implant? Has anyone here had an IPP after prior silicone, and how did your surgeon handle it?
Thanks very much for any insight.

Pills no longer work for me. Trimix helps but injections are tough and painful.
Implant consultation coming up (Oct ‘23).

I didn't have silicone implant but I did do injections with filler like PMMA in mine prior to being implanted. It didn't affect the ability for the surgeon to do the implant. I would say post operatively there is some firmer areas of clumping scar tissue in the area of surgery, but it's minimal and not that noticeable just on the underside.
51 yrs old. E.D. issues started around age 35, combo venous leak/testicular failure. Bilateral testicular implants for severely atrophic testes. Implanted 6/11/20 Dr. Kramer LGX 21cm + 1.

Thanks so much for your reply, man.
My injections were also silicone based fillers. I was uncut at the time, but later had a circumcision to remove some of the silicone because the skin was being pulled down by gravity and it just didn’t look or feel right.
Hopefully my surgeon will be able to handle the procedure as well.
I’ll post some pictures in the future. Thanks again for sharing your experience and taking the time to respond.
