Getting Real

Postby Boatdrinks » Mon Sep 29, 2025 7:40 pm

Oh boy, had my pre-op today for my implant next Thursday. Went over pretty much everything I learned from this site :D Starting to get a bit nervous and excited at the same time. Thanks everyone in advance for all of your help getting to this point!
Looks like it will be AMS on the table for the implant I was told today. PA gave me a model pump to play with and I have to say it was pretty easy to pump, outside the sac anyway… The PA was amazed that Cigna is covering the operation. I am glad they did.
Off for some more VED time and thoughts for next week!

Hey Boatdrinks congrats!! Best of luck.

How long have you been using the VED?
Diagnosed with venous leak after having ED majority of my life. Grateful to have some answers, and considering both MPP and IPP as options.

Excellent. I remember the mix of excitement, anticipation, anxiety, hope, fear, and giddiness well.

Follow your docs instructions and you’ll be in good hands.

Ice ice ice ice ice ice. That will be your friend the first few days.

It’s great you are using the VED. That will help.

We are all here for you. PM for anything you need.

Jonnyborg,
Been using the VED daily for almost the past year now in anticipation of doing this surgery.

Thats the right answer.
I used a VED for years but once I knew I was getting my implant I leaned in and did it a lot. Consistently. And I gained close to an inch and had very little pain post op.
Good luck! Get excited!

from what i have read from members on here ,the ams looks like the better choice than the titan, with its tubes breaking , not many have the ridgicon yet . so the jury is out on that brand .
good luck and god bless . i hope it goes well .

In the same boat, I have surgery scheduled for the 21st. It’s getting more real by the day, equal parts excitement and apprehension.

Best of luck to you as you embark on this adventure!

Good luck to you, Boatdrinks.

A day or two beforehand- consider going out for a long walk or some meditation.
I think if you can calm your nerves and get yourself into a relaxed, comfortable
headspace this entire process will go thru much easier.
Add some some exercise/cardio and preferably some alone time and you will be
just fine.

It's a big step, and it looks like you're ready.
Congratulations, we're here for you.

Keep us posted when you get out of surgery.
Best wishes to you.
