VED Measurements
Question: Are the measurements one maxes out on in a VED the proximal measurement one should report to the surgeon?
66 yrs old. 3X colorectal cancer and survivor. Twice Stage 4. Between chemo and Type 2 diabetes, it's all taken toll on my ED. Pills, VED, HRT no longer work. No injections for me. Had AMS LGX with Tenacio implanted on 11/4/25. 15cm with 2cmRTE.

Re: VED Measurements
Surgeon is going to measure on the day of surgery after he opens you up. No other measurements are going to make a difference.

Married 22 years to the love of my life.

Re: VED Measurements
Man I wish. I got a pump 1 week before surgery cuz I didn't know that was a thing until then & had myself up to 9" & huge girth, almost filling up the tube. I can totally see it helping tho if u do it leading up to surgery. Wish I could have but no regrets still

Re: VED Measurements
Like everyone else I also wish that was the case
.
My VED cylinder is 8.75 inches long x 2.10 inches diameter and I would almost fill the whole thing, both length and girth.
Unfortunately reality sets in when it's deflated. Although I did remain larger and engorged with the constriction ring in place.
Take that off and it was quickly back to my more modest dimensions.
But do keep up with the VED regime pre surgery, which will help allow the largest implant for your anatomy.
It can also help give you the best chance of eventually returning to your original size.
You don't need to report any measurements to the surgeon in my experience.
I asked mine about it and he said that he would dilate and measure me on the operating table.

Re: VED Measurements
I think you’re generally 1/2” shorter normally than in the VED. The difference is because the glans tissue swells a lot and adds length under vacuum. Girth expands more than naturally too under negative pressure.
58yo Coloplast Titan 28cm Penoscrotal with Dr. Hakky 10/21/2025.
Pre-op erect measurements:
8.5"L and 6.5"C
Post-op: 8”L and 6”C at one week.
8.5” and 6”C at three weeks with full glans engorgement

Re: VED Measurements
If my memory is correct, my erection prior to ED was about 5.75". Now with a VED it's closer to 6.5".

I did not have the type of pump that you could put a restriction ring on .
And i had to soap up the cylinder to accommodate the swelling girth so it would be able to slide as i pumped , with maybe an inch left in the end of the tube .
Then hit the release button....phssssssst , back to normal . hahaa .
if only . the asian girls would balk at that though .

I think my wife would have balked at what I had in the VED if I could sustain it
The medical one I mostly used had a variety of different sized rings.
You just take the cylinder off and in theory it leaves you with a usable erection. It practice it didn't work well for PIV sex for me.
Also getting the tighter fitting rings off was a challenge even when using a lot of lube.
I used a sex toy one as well, something like what you described.
