Journal start, lets do it.

Postby richard_goes_bionic » Tue Oct 21, 2025 2:42 pm

Hi guys, it's now nearly one year ago I joined this forum. Dan the man, the myth, the legend was the first contact I had here and when I saw his peace of art I said, I want one like this. :o :D
And here I am making my preparations with 14 days to go. After a long struggle like most of my brothers with the whole enchilada VED, pills, needles I chose the final solution after diagnosis arterial sclerosis combined with venous leak.
It will be a Rigicon infla 10ax, the surgeon of my trust is Dr. Sebastian Beley, Paris.
I would like to thank everyone on this forum which shares their experiences good or bad, information, goodwill and kind words for those who suffer consequences.
I am sure I would not be here today if it was not for you guys and will keep you posted.

I will appreciate your comments and thoughts.

I just got my Titan “installed” today. Everybody is different, but so far it has been about as expected and nowhere near as bad as my worst fears. I’m sure it will become more challenging at times (cycling!), but I think we’re all discovering getting an implant is a process and not a point in time.

Stay strong and enjoy the ride.

thank you guys for all the kind words and best wishes.
How is my experience so far. It's a rollercoaster ride of emotions, I feel the pressure now as the day getting closer.
One moment I have to do it, the next, what the hell am I doing.
I am scared like the most of you have been but I came so far so I won't chicken out.
I am happy for all which had a perfect outcome and feel for those who struggle with consequences.
this forum is unique and helps so much to get you to this point of no return.
A man got to do what a man got to do. :D

good luck to all which are in the same position and happy recovery for those who have had their surgery recently.

keep you posted.
