AMS CX vs LGX
Hey gentlemen, just looking for some input on experiences with the AMS CX and LGX implants. I’m scheduled for my surgery in about two weeks and am deciding between the two models. From what I’ve read and watched, the LGX’s lengthening claims are minimal at best and there is concern about axial rigidity for longer implants (I am about 7 inches erect so would likely need the longest cylinder available of 21 cm). Also, being on the younger side (45 years old), I haven’t noticed much loss of length to this point, so as long as the CX maintains my current length I’ll be happy. I guess my concerns about the CX are that it turns you into too much of a “shower” and that becomes a nuisance. Also my surgeon seems to be pushing the LGX for some reason. As you might be able to tell, I’m leaning towards the CX right now, but I am still open to hearing others’ personal experiences that they are willing to share. Thanks!
45 yo American living in Bogotá, Colombia, had Stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma x 2 s/p chemo/stem cell transplant, ED for years, poor results with pills, injections. Implanted 12/4/2025 with AMS CX 21 cm/1.5 cm RTEs. Preop 7” L, 6 “G at base/5” G below glans

All implants will make you a shower, it’s the nature of having fixed length cylinders in your penis. I have a Titan so can’t give you personal experience with AMS, but if it were me I would choose the CX.
58yo Coloplast Titan 28cm Penoscrotal with Dr. Hakky 10/21/2025.
Pre-op erect measurements:
8.5"L and 6.5"C
Post-op: 8”L and 6”C at one week.
8.5” and 6”C at three weeks with full glans engorgement

7 inches are no problem for LGX. With LGX you have the certainty that even if the doctor undersize you the expansion of the LGX will "cover" any error. Plus you will have a better flaccid... I would go with LGX anytime
LGX 18 + 1. 2023/12
Pre-OP VED length: 5.5". Post-OP: 4". At 3 months post-op: 5". At 1 yr: 5,3"
Cycling with a lot of pain for the first 5 months, now improving
If you have a motorcycle stop using it (ED with motorcycle accident).

Good luck with your surgery. I am less than two months in with my CX. I was going into the surgery thinking I was going to get the LGX. Due to scarring, my doctor made the decision to switch to CX. I will start cycling next week and will work on regaining my length and girth. I am really digging the new shower that I have
My wife has to approve my out of house attire now..lol

Re: AMS CX vs LGX
For reasons I don’t quite understand, I was given an LGX while I should’ve received a CX (being measured at 23cm). While my cosmetic result is fine, yes, there are issues with the LGX in longer penises, such as a less firm base and slight reduction in girth. Go with the CX for a firmer erection and greater girth. The flaccid with the CX won’t be as “concealable” as the LGX, however.
Harsh words, but in a phone conversation I had with Hakky, his personal opinion of the LGX was that it is “trash.” If I could do it over, I would have gone with the CX.

40. Implanted July 5, 2024, AMS LGX, 21cm cylinders + 2cm RTEs. Idiopathic "hard flaccid" ED following bacterial infection. Tried pulse waves, Cialis, TRT, even spinal injections. Nada.

Re: AMS CX vs LGX
I've often said on here that I'm very happy with the performance of my LGX and have none of the instability that is sometimes reported.
I would not want anything harder. It could be that I have a deeper crus than average. Yes flaccid concealment will be a consideration regardless of which implant you end up with, just some variation in how much. I max out around 6.5 inches bone pressed with 21 cm cylinders (no RTEs). For an LGX that's the maximum standard length available. If you go with the LGX with your 7 inches, I'm only guessing but you would possibly need extenders. Whether that could affect axial rigidity like fuckedOne has problems with I don't know. Otherwise the CX has an XL size at 24 cm if needed. CX should also give you a great result when sized correctly and implanted by a competent surgeon. Best wishes for your upcoming surgery whatever you choose!

Sorry I am not up on various models features. Im sure this info is buried elsewhere on this board but:
What's the main diffference between CX and LGX.

Simplest answer I can give:
CX can expand in girth only but is more rigid and potentially more stable for longer/larger penises.
LGX can expand in both length and girth but is less rigid. Suits many average sized penises.
Note that any claimed expansion results are dependent on your own anatomy and any relevant health issues.
No implant can make you larger than you ever were but may eventually restore your original size with cycling etc.

So is the CX basically more like a malleable Implant that just inflates in girth?
Im definitely a grower, so I think the LGX would have to be my way to go. Im smaller than average flaccid, but probably bigger when erect.
How much less rigid is the LGX......is there a sensation dip for him and/or her?
