I'm Back. Need a New Implant

Postby dradamas » Fri Jan 30, 2026 12:38 am

Week before Christmas my 700CX failed; ruptured inner layer of one cylinder. That side now permanently inflated. Won't deflate at all. Dr Karpman says deflating will risk infection.
Surgery scheduled to replace with the Titan the last week of February 2026 by Dr Karpman. I was scheduled for end of this month but he moved me out- not sure why. Had my lab work and clearances done. Well anyways think I will ask if they can get me in sooner. This sucks. Going to use a Titan this time. Wish me luck.

That sucks, man, but one month isn’t too bad. Just use a VED in the interim.

We could of used you last week. Someone here posted if anyone went from LGX to CX and if they could comment on the difference. I’m curious of this myself. Is the CX, in fact, a girthier, more rigid device? Which did you prefer?

F1,
Thanks for the reply. I have a vacuum pump and considered using it. Decided against it as I don't really know what effect that would have in my present state. I certainly don't want to inflate it any more than it is. I will call the office tomorrow and run it by him. Thanks.

The difference between the LGX and CX? The straightness of the erection at maximum inflation. The LGX was slightly curved upward in the middle instead of being completely straight. (The tunica does not elongate even if the implant can.) The LGX also required more pumps to stabilize so it wasn't wobbly. I noticed it right away. Wasn't a big difference though. Girth was the same, CX might have been a scooch more. CX is pretty much the way to go. Dr Hakky (sp?) has a video where he discusses them. I think he said he won't use an LGX.

There shouldn’t be much difference between implants functionally… if the CC limits their expansion, the dick will stay curved. If it is no longer limiting expansion, the implant will find its own independent rigidity and force it to become more straight. This can take time to become reality, but a lot depends on how you are sized and how effectively you cycle.

Sorry you’re dealing with this—sounds frustrating, but it’s good you’ve got a solid plan and an experienced surgeon lined up. Wishing you a smooth replacement   :)

That stinks, sorry for the failure. Hope you can get it fixed sooner than later.

Sorry to hear about the implant failure. Did your doctor explain why the cylinder layer ruptured? These implants are designed to last for over 15 years.

FB,
I was messing with it. I have a Fleshlight I modified by cutting off the silicone sleeve so it's just a doughnut or ring. While pushing it down fully against my pubis I gave the already inflated implant a few squeezes. Something in this process caused it to rupture apparently.
These things are durable but not indestructible. It's sex not a gym workout. Another lesson learned the hard way.

I got it. These are unexpected. Wish you the best with the new implant.

dradamas, sorry to hear about the need for revision. Was surprised that squeezing it with something like that could cause a rupture. Also surprised the effect would be staying inflated, vs unable to inflate. Are you expecting the Titan to be better for that ?
