I am a 28-year-old man living in France, and I wanted to talk about my experience of getting a penile implant.
I had surgery for a malleable implant in Paris two years ago with surgeon Anthony Giwerc. I initially wanted a 3-piece implant, but I got an infection. So I was given a malleable implant and told that I could have a 3-piece implant again after a year. I decided to keep the malleable implant.
In terms of size and width, I lost very little, maybe 1 cm in length at most (I can barely notice it), and a little width. My sex life is fine, and I don't feel any discomfort when using the implant on a daily basis. I just have slightly less sensation than before, but knowing that I can have a much more fulfilling sex life, that's insignificant. The implant is slightly visible and can be felt a little during weight training sessions. Again, you quickly get used to it and it causes very little discomfort.
In the end, I regret not having had this surgery sooner, but I spent years wandering from one medical professional to another, dealing with incompetent people.
Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions, especially if you are French. I am available to discuss this topic if it is causing you anxiety.
Have a nice day!

Re: Two years post malleable implant
Hey youngfr, thanks for posting!
Some more specific questions:
- What brand of malleable did you get? And what thickness of rods?
- How have you felt about its rigidity during sex? Any complaints or anything to be aware of?
- How do you bend and conceal your implant?
- After two years - have you noticed any atrophy or thinning of the tissue around your implant?
- Do you still get good engorgement of your glans and urethra? Any residual engorgement of your corporal bodies?
Thanks again!
