Implant failure

Postby OregonStrong » Fri Mar 13, 2026 7:22 pm

Think mine has failed. Went to inflate during sex and got one pump and the bulb has gone flat and won’t refill for the next pump. I can reset the system by squeezing the release but it immediately goes flat again with the first pump. I think I can hear a slight sucking sound like if air was in the line when I push the bulb. Frustrating. Never have been a heavy user or my implant I maybe inflate it at most once a week or every 2 weeks. Was hoping I would get another five to ten years out of it before I had to revise or replace.
Of all times for this to happen I’m in Dallas for a big gay event and was looking forward to some fun times tonight to use it.
I think I’m going to see about using Hakky for the revision. I’m a 21+1 LGX. I’m interested in upgrading to a Titan. Anyone think it’s realistic to get a 24 cm Titan or is that too far a jump in size? I’d say my penis is not very elastic when stretched. Just hope he can get me in ASAP. Don’t want to be into the summer recovering.
52 yrs old. E.D. issues started around age 35, combo venous leak/testicular failure. Bilateral testicular implants for severely atrophic testes. Implanted 6/11/20 Dr. Kramer LGX 21cm + 1.

Read a lot about Hakky in this forum. You're in great hands. Only 10-20% of implants fail in the first decade. Don't get discouraged. You're in for an easier surgery, quicker recovery, and longer cylinders. Good luck with your revision upgrade.

Can someone explain the difference between the pumps you can use? Which ones are more reliable?

Anecdotal fact from my surgeon: The Classic/Genesis pump by Coloplast is the most reliable.

The surgeon you pick is more important than the brand. Don’t advise your mechanic on which parts or tools to use. Trust your surgeon (a high volume dedicated implanter).
