Penis ache?

Postby MissionInflatable » Sun Mar 22, 2026 9:40 am

I'm 9 weeks post-op.
Had sex last night for the fourth time since implant.

Whilst it is fantastic to be able to penetrate a woman again, I confess last night wasn't great.
Her hands paid a lot of attention to my penis, but she never twigged there was an implant in there. During sex, I found it a little uncomfortable, and kept imagining the tips of the cylinders bursting out - there seems such a thin layer of skin covering them underneath the head of my penis. It would seem quite easy, particularly during vigorous sex, for the tips to push through the skin.

My pee pee feels achy today to the extent I don't feel like cycling, but I did.
I don't expect to ever get back to the haydays of having a working penis and experiencing the pleasure of a woman without thought. Sexual pleasure will now be different, but hopefully still very good.
Anyway, just curious to read any views from the great knowledge base on this forum.

Give it time. 9 weeks is hardly long enough for things to be fully healed. Full healing takes one year even though most of the healing is done in a few months. The first few times I had sex made me hurt, not just sore but hurt to the point I had to take pain meds. By 6 months out sex was as good as my younger years. By one year out the implant was just a part of me.

9 weeks is still very early in your recovery. Aching and soreness for me persisted for several months after I started having sex at 8 weeks.
The cylinder tips are very unlikely to burst through the skin. Mine also feel close to the surface on the underside, due to the shape of the glans.
But they are in very deep and the glans is stable even during vigorous/rough sex. Over time you most likely will feel intense pleasure during sex again. I certainly do at 12 months in and have done for many months now, climaxing 100% of the time. You should expect to have a working penis, as that is the primary objective of the procedure. And for most it works out well, just needs time for healing, cycling and getting used to the changes in your body so that you don't even notice them. Individual timeframe for that can vary widely.

Mission, I agree with Old Guy and LGXdownunder, it takes time to heal before it starts to feel like a normal dick again.
I started cycling and cleared for sex at 6 weeks, but I waited till week 8 to have sex and the first time we had PIV sex at 8 weeks it hurt like heck and my dick throbbed with pain for two days.
I had the same thoughts, am I going to be able to have pleasurable PIV sex with this bionic dick.
I kept cycling my dick twice a day and getting in a hot tub of water 3 to 4 times a week and pumping it up to max and seeing how long I could go without crying uncle from the pain.

Like Old Guy and LGXdownunder, after 6 months things got real good and at a year out it became fantastic.
