First implant consult, not so good

Postby Ved_pumper » Thu May 07, 2026 12:42 pm

What a truly disheartening demoralizing first implant consult I had this morning with my urologist. I almost had a spring in my step going in, not now. Sorry in advance for the long read.

Red flags were the main theme of the morning.

Started off with my urologist telling me I would loose an inch or more before we even started talking. I said I'm aware that can happen but based on my research (and I'm playing the long game here) with proper cycling I should gain at least some of that back. He said no that's not correct. First flag.

I tried to explain my success with the VED rehabilitateing my penis over the past few months, Im quite proud of what I've accomplished, he didn't care. Although he did tell me my penis health was excellent, at least that was something. He then did the lamest stretched flaccid imaginable, I almost said WTF was that. The pull was so weak it was like a kitten. No hard ruler just said this is what you will get. I asked him what was his estimate of the cylinders, would not give me an estimate. More flags.

Asked him about what implant he would recommend based on my body type, stretched bone pressed flaccid, my girth. Said any implant would work, really????? Ah...with a 7in bone pressed flaccid (measured dorsal, hard ruler, measurement instructions from this page and the mayo clinic) and a 6+ in girth mid shaft I know what IPP I'm leaning towards. Another flag....

This was the iceing on the cake, told me I would be "functional" and that's all he cared about. My wife just stared at him, she wasn't impressed. Then I asked about his sizeing and glans support. Said he's very "safe" and very cautious because of erosion. Doesn't size into the glans for support, stops before the glans. My wife's expression was priceless lol. Biggest red flag for me, Jesus.....

Guys do you know anyone in Canada(Ontario, Quebec) that can be trusted to do this right. I can't afford to come to the US. No way I'm letting this individual I spoke with today touch me. Ah just feeling so low right now. :?
Suffering ED for 8 yrs. No success with pills or trimix. VED does work but the constriction rings are painful to hold the erection. Currently speaking with urologists about a implant.

Please lookup the following. Just my two cents from a lookup I did. You will feel much better once you see a specialist in prosthetic urology.

Ontario
Dr. Ethan Grober
Dr. Yonah Krakowsky

Quebec
Dr. Carlos Marois

Well, to be honest if your stressed flaccid length is 7" with a flaccid girth of 6", maybe it is expected you'll lose some size if there's no implant that can support that much?

I don't know that. I'm only guessing based of the available information. Also, when you said you know what you want, is it Titan I presume?

No that's erect girth, not flaccid. Always been that size even pre ED. Now unfortunately it's via VED and constriction ring.

Yea I'm leaning towards a titan but there's where I was looking for guidance from my urologist, unfortunately that wasn't the case.

Ah, I see. Well, I hope my experience is accurate and relevant because it does seem to indicate Titan is a great choice for you. I became 7" flaccid from my LGX (was ~4.8" before) and getting a Titan 28cm has kept it over 7". It can handle your girth also - mine was an estimated 5.7" before LGX lowered it to its max size of 5.5", but after getting Titan and 6 months later Dr. Hakky's auxetic cuts procedure has increased it to almost 6" flaccid girth and totally 6.2" or so for erect girth.

And yes I realize caring about centimeter differences is silly, but we've been doing this for a very long time and won't be changing it anytime soon!!!!
