So while I have seen threads before on this topic... I can't seem to find the right search term to actually come up with them.
On the topic of how long before your nervous system acclimates and doesn't think there's a foreign object stretching my penis 24/x... Or the pump situated between your legs while trying to sleep on your side...
I seem to recall people suggesting in time your nervous system just accepts it and doesn't know it's there. (Not everyone has suggested this)
(Part of my thinking here is that I'm single and thinking of doing this while I have good insurance so that it is not an obstacle when I'm no longer single... As opposed to starting the process later when there is someone in my life and I have to wait through the entire long process before I truly feel the value... In other words I don't have a 'carrot' to help me rationalize while I'm going through the first weeks/months of discomfort, that hey - next week I get to 'play' and it will all be worth it)
(My thinking is more that I have good insurance now, but not for too much longer... and if I eventually think I need this, then do it now... but just trying to mentally prepare myself for a year or more of feeling like a foreign object is stuffed uncomfortably in my penis)
Would appreciate any insight... Thanks!

Part of it might be your nervous system, but part is your tissues acclimating to the implant components and the inflammation calming down. It *will* become your new normal and you'll accept it as "how your penis feels", barring infection or other complications. For me after about three months I was pretty used to it, and at six months it definitely felt normal (or at least the new normal) to me. I'm currently at 10 months and it just feels natural and normal to me, though it hangs longer flaccid and is harder to hide in clothing.

Ditto. I don’t recall seeing a lot of posts here of long-term recipients complaining about an unusual feeling. I don’t feel expanded or annoyed all the time. I’m only at four months, so the flaccid look is finally softening a bit and is not as obvious in clothing and I’m sure that will continue to improve.
