One Year Later...
It's hard to believe that it's been a year since I got my Titan implant.
Looking back, I can honestly say my life is profoundly better today than it was before the procedure.
Over the past year, I recovered from surgery and, more importantly, I helped bring parts of my marriage back to life that I thought might be gone forever.
It wasn't an overnight transformation, and it wasn't just about sex. But sex is an important part of it, in ways that are hard to explain unless you've lived through erectile dysfunction (like we all have...)
My wife and I have been married a long time. Like many couples, sex was great in the beginning. It was easy, natural, fun. It was something we shared that made us both feel good and brought us closer together.
Over time, though, it became stressful. Frustrating. Eventually it became a source of anxiety, disappointment, and sadness.
My wife told me she would be perfectly happy staying married for the rest of our lives without sex. She meant it. But I wasn't ready to give up on that part of our relationship. I wasn't ready to give up on that part of myself.
Over the years, I tried everything.
Pills. Pumps. Creams. More pills.
I had P-Shots. GainsWave treatments. BiMix, TriMix, and QuadMix.
Some things helped a little. Nothing truly solved the problem.
Then I learned about IPP and quickly found Dr. Taj. By pure luck, his office was only ten minutes from my house.
From that point forward, everything moved quickly.
Dr. Taj's team helped me get insurance approval, and before long my surgery was scheduled. I first learned about IPP in early June and was implanted by the end of August.
The surgery itself was surprisingly easy. Honestly, it's a bit of a blur now. The entire experience was far less intimidating than I had imagined.
And then the healing began.
One week later, I was cycling.
Three and a half weeks later, I was cleared for sex.
(For me, that turned out to be a little too soon. I reopened part of my incision and needed another set of staples.)
Two weeks later I was cleared again, and from there things only got better.
At first we started slowly. Gentle sex. Patient sex.
And somewhere along the way, I began rediscovering what sex was really supposed to be.
Not sex after two drinks, two pills, and a Trimix injection.
Not sex filled with anxiety, pressure, and apologies.
Not constantly wondering whether things would work this time.
Instead, it became about slowing down, connecting, and enjoying each other. About our bodies working together the way they were meant to. Reliably.
I feel like i can finally feel her during sex when before I couldnt.
That changes a lot of things.
We began understanding each other differently. We became more affectionate. More patient. Kinder.
We started reconnecting in ways that had nothing to do with sex itself.
For years during my ED journey, we had sex once a month. it wasn't usually great. I would sometimes finish too quickly or lose my erection because I was so anxious about losing my erection or finishing too quickly.
The pressure created a cycle that fed itself.
My wife was willing to keep trying, but as things became less reliable, sex became less frequent. Less enjoyable. Sadder.
I was frustrated.
We were disconnected.
But there was always love underneath it all, and we kept trying to figure it out together.
Today, things are completely different.
Most weekends, she's the one who comes to me in the morning.
We're both sober.
No pills.
No injections.
No apologies.
Just intimacy. Connection. And yes, orgasms.
We now have sex five to ten times a month, and it feels like we've discovered an entirely new level in our relationship.
I owe a tremendous amount of that to Dr. Taj, his team, and this procedure.
To be clear, IPP didn't fix my marriage.
I did that.
My wife did that.
We did that together.
But IPP gave us back something important that we had been missing for a very long time, and it made rebuilding so much easier.
I'm incredibly grateful.
In many ways, I believe IPP saved my marriage.
I also believe it may have saved my mental health.
I wasn't ready to let go of that part of myself. I wasn't ready to accept that intimacy was simply over. Choosing to pursue this procedure led me to a place that is healthier, happier, and more connected than I ever expected.
If you're struggling with ED or considering an implant, my advice is simple:
Don't give up.
Don't give up on yourself.
Don't convince yourself that this part of your life doesn't matter if it matters to you.
You deserve to feel whole. You deserve intimacy. And you deserve to explore the options that might help you get there.
Thank you again, Dr. Taj.
One year later, I couldn't be more grateful I didn't give up.

Coloplast titan 26 cm placed on 8/26/25 by Dr Taj
~8" before IPP but not "hard" enough for pvi.
Tried everything as things progressed:
Pills, pumps, prp, trt, gainswave, peptides, trimix, quadmix and a vibrating ring.

Hard Penis,Aloha from Maui, six weeks ago I had Peronies Disease straightening surgery and the installation of penis pump. Since then, when ever I walk around my penis stiffens. When I sit the penis softens. Additionally, during the evening my penis stiffens and it becomes difficult to get it to soften. I was hoping by this time these issues might resolve itself. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced these issues and how you might have addressed them?

Colby Jack: Can certainly concur that sex is vastly more relaxed and fun. Not sure the change carries over to other aspects of our relationship, which remains very comfortable, but like you my wife has essentially scheduled us—“it’s Sunday night!” she says with a big smile. Even before ED, in my 40s, frequency had declined to monthly. Looking forward to trouble free vacation sex in a few weeks. I am only 4 mos in so am still evolving. It seems that this week I have had an increment in girth which has changed the firmness and feel of my AMS 700 CX bulb while pumping. As a result, I was a little underinflated last night and coincidentally my wife was a bit underlubricated. It was a comical failure and we just gave up and laughed. An appropriate and lighthearted reaction to an absurd old person situation. The warmup was fun at least. Most relieved was my wife who found my preop anxiety and frustration distressing. Relearned my current bulb firmness during my cycle this morning and will be ready for Sunday.
AMS 700 CX Tenacio 4/24/2026 at age 65. ED from early 50s. Pills and Trimix/Quadmix with side effects superimposed on limited effectiveness.

I didn’t quote your entire post but just a couple lines that captured the highlight.
Like you my/our journey has been one of continuous improvement.
Thank you for sharing your story. It makes those of us who made the decision reflect on how life changing it has been. It also gives hope to those that are still struggling.
Again, THANKS!
