Pain in Glans after implant.

Postby Rider1400 » Thu Sep 17, 2026 8:39 pm

So for those not following me see my signature. Implanted 4-1/2 years ago revision due to tips erosion and terrible placement of reservoir and erosion of it. Infection followed. Salvage followed, explantation followed , now newly implanted 2 weeks and a day ago. With first revision I had terrible pain in glans underneath that was almost unbearable. Take into account I have a high pain tolerance and took very few pain pills thru all my recoveries even basically no pain pills with a shoulder surgery that’s said to be one of the most painful there is.Once the pain started I took a lot of nurotin (gabapentin) and it took the edge off at double dosage along with doubling up on pain pills at the same time. After infection and salvage I had exactly same pain within a few days of surgery guessing when the nerve block wore off. Now after being reimplanted I thought for first 10 days it wasn’t going to start back. So Tuesday (day 13) the pain came back with a vengeance! Glans underneath from tip back about an inch. Started using gabapentin and just like that it quit the next day! So today it has been slightly sore but no pain to speak of and haven’t taken anything. Taking to Dr he said it’s nerve pain and has no idea if it will go away within days weeks or months.
My question to my bionic brothers is. I’ve read where many others had a pain in your glans area after implant. So what was the time line of it getting better? When it did get better did it completely go away or gradually get better over long period of time. I have noted and mentioned to Dr that stimulation activates the pain immediately! Even trying to milk a few drops of urin out after urination caused fire for hours. I made mistake of taking 10mg of cialis hoping that blood flow improvement might help… nope caused incredible pain for over 10 hours. Dr prescribed me 5mg cialis daily yesterday to try, but was told to be cautious about it due to my earlier trial with first revision. So I took my 5mg this morning and like I said earlier, no pain today. Afraid of what I’ll face when I start cycling. I’ve been instructed to wait 6 weeks this time due to the previous infections and slower healing of internal incisions on the cavernosa so we will see in 6 weeks. Help me out with your experiences with glans pain.

You’ve had an infection as well as all the surgical trauma. I think you just have to give things time. The fact the pain subsided is a good sign. As long as you don’t have any further sign of infection, Healing will continue and the pain should improve. My first week or so was pretty miserable, and I didn’t have half the trauma you have.

Use whatever medications you need to stay comfortable, watch everything carefully, and try to rest and heal. Just my opinion.

Thanks Elbow….the less I move around and the less I touch it the less it hurts so trying to just hangout and do very little….. just gets very old very quickly. Seems all I’ve done most of this year! Oh well surely in 4 more weeks I’ll get to find out just how well it’s going to hold up to some pumping and lots of sex I hope. Tell the wife she better get her cardio up,, we have a lot of catching up to do!

I have a Titan now, but I had a Genesis malleable for 2 years and it had a somewhat pointy and hard tip. After the capsule matured around the 3 month mark, things got a lot more comfortable. Occasionally I applied Aspercreme (lidocaine 4%) to numb any glans discomfort during recovery, and it worked like a charm for me. I wouldn’t recommend this without checking with your clinic first.
