Until we can figure out a way to get a real interactive calendar going, would you guys mind posting your implant surgery dates? Or for that matter, if you are having any surgical procedure done for your ED, include that.
This will help remind us all to give support to the guy about to have surgery.
Thanks
Paul

I am scheduled for 1/11/11 ( lucky date or not?). I am getting two implants. The penile implant and artifical urinary sphincter done at the same time. The operations will be at Methodist in Houston Dr. Timothy Boone doing the AUS and Dr. Larry Lipshultz the IPP. The IPP will be the AMS 700 LGX.

I'm scheduled for December 15 in Shreveport, La with Dr Gerard Henry. Also an AMS LGX. And I'm almost as nervous with this as I was with the RRP.

I am scheduled for surgery at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN on Monday, November 29, 2010. My surgeon's name is Dr. Ajay Nehra. He does 150 or more implants per year. He will implant the AMS 700LGX. He says this will greatly enhance my ability to regain lost length and girth due to severe Peyronie's disease as well as severe venous leakage. Although I am nervous, anxious and apprehensive, and somewhat scared, I am grateful for all the advice, concern and genuine warmth of this group. You guys are the greatest!

I 'm interested in hearing how you do and how you liked the Mayo clinic. I live in wisconsin and I would eventually like to get a complete evaluation there. It is relatively close to home. If I would ever have an implant I may have to consider Mayo.

Hi Blacke,
I will be glad to let you know my experiences at the Mayo Clinic! From my first appontment to last Tuesday's pre-op, I have been so impressed with the "Mayo" way of treating their patients, not only the knowledge they possess but in how they relate to you as a person, with dignity and respect, and, in my case, a little humor! I was so apprehensive, and emabarassed to begin this process and the folks there have been most helpful in how they have approached the issues I have. My surgeon, Dr. Ajay Nehra is one of the most respected in the field of IPP implants, Pyronie's, ED. I candidly asked him why it is that of the top specialists in implant procedures, his name is not mentioned nearly as often as the other top providers. He was very humble in his response in that his motivation is to provide the best possible outcome for his patient. Reading between the lines, his notoriety is not important. He is always booked for appointments. He does , in his words "alot" of implants each year, for men from all over the world. I think his expertise speaks for itself! Please feel free to ask me anything about Mayo, the procedure, my experience. Many men have been there for me on this forum, I am glad to provide any help for someone else, a chance for me to "pay it forword"!

George is having his surgery on Dec. 8th. He posted the information below on a seperate thread but I thought it should be here also. Hope nobody mindes me posing it here so we won't forget to let him know were thinking of him and his wife.
"Hi, I have good news. Dr. Milam will perform surgery for a penile implant on Dec. 8. There was a cancellation so they scheduled me for the surgery. My wife is still in a wheelchair recovering from her last knee revision surgery caused by a staph infection. We were advised to stay in Nashville for one week after the surgery because neither one of us will be able to drive.
We are going to follow this advice, and make it work. My wife said this is my December Birthday present. I haven't had any surgery in over 35 years, but this is very important to me. I know it is going to hurt, but seeing the pain my wife has gone through with her surgeries. Then I know I can do it to.
This website has been a tremendous benefit. I would not have done any of this if it wasn't for the people on this site.

George"
