Implanted 29 Oct 2013

Postby Jollis » Thu Oct 31, 2013 5:36 pm

I had my implant surgery this past Tuesay and came home yesterday. The doc implanted me with a Coloplast Titan. I was surprised that I haven't had much pain. The worst thing I felt was when they removed a large dressing he put on after surgery. The tape must have had Gorilla Glue on it. The nest worse thing was removing the catheter. I have considerable swelling and bruising and a prescription for pain, but haven't taken a pain pill yet.

I don't have much to add tha hasn't been posted here before. However, I got a lot of good information off Frank Talk and appreciate all your comments.

Likewise - Congratulations. Things change daily so one day at a time, feet up and make the most of the rest.

Good luck

Congrats!! I had mine done on 10/24/13 (AMS LGX). Day 5 or 6 is the real turning point for the better. Ice, ice, ice and ice!!! Also, take a stool softener!! I didn't listen to that advice and I'm paying for it now!!!

Have a speedy recovery and enjoy your new toy!!! Frank.

The way my body works, eating red meat causes constipation and eating chicken and fish does not. I did not use a stool softener and did not need one but I also did not eat any red meat until a few days after I stopped using the prescription pain killers.
