Just back from having an AMS 700 implanted. So far the worst "pain" is discomfort from the catheter. Arrived at the outpatient facility at 6AM and left for home by 10:30. Have an appointment to have the catheter and drain removed tomorrow along with removal of the drain and mummy wrap dressing. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes from here.

I had open abdomen surgery for BPH 9 years ago and had a catheter afterwards for 10 days. The darn thing did not seat right and a couple of times an hour I had a urine leakage the burned like hell. For my implant surgery I had a catheter for 21 hours after the surgery and no leakage or burning problems. Maybe sometimes they seat and sometimes they don't.

There are sure a lot of guys named Dave on FT. I wonder if having the name Dave makes ED more probably

I hope being named Dave does not doom one to ED, maybe we need a government funded study to see if there is any connection.

So far my impressions:
1 Oww!
2 Painkillers are your friend.
3 Ice is your friend.
4 Tighty Whities are your friend.

Actually pain is not so bad now that the catheter has been removed, moving kind of slow but feels like it will improve rapidly. When I came home I was fully inflated and had an erection you could drive nails with. Now after my first post-op DR visit I'm at half mast but still have an erection far better than any I've had in recent years. It will be a few weeks before I'm given the go ahead to play with my new toy but initial impressions are that I will be very happy with how things work.

Second day after implant and things proceeding as expected. I'm not experiencing much swelling in the penis or testicles but do have some at the incision site, Mine was done intra-pubic. Cutting back on painkillers and just making myself comfortable and using ice. Only thing that I hadn't thought about was sometimes the skin of my scrotum gets pulled over the square edge of the pump and that is rather uncomfortable. Whose idea was it to put square edges on that thing anyway?

Nine day mark. Just had first real post-op Dr visit yesterday and DR is quite pleased with how well things are going. Swelling and bruising is minimal and discomfort/pain fading daily. Some discomfort from the square corners of the pump on one side but working to pull the pump to preferred position and that is improving. Started at full inflation for first 24 hours after surgery reduced to 50% next day. I had a compression dressing right after implant but swelling went down so much overnight that it pretty much fell off. Today will be my first day back at work, should be pretty easy as this time of year we go into a partial shutdown so the hardest part will be staying awake.

To anyone considering an implant my first impressions are very favorable on mine and I'm sure I will be very pleased with final outcome.

FYI: First post surgery orgasm today during shower. I was pretty gentle with it as it's still rather tender but at least I know all is still working well.
