How hard do you have to squeeze this thing??

My experience differed from what I have seen from most of the other members.

I spent one night in the hospital and did not see my doctor for two weeks. My scrotum was so swollen to almost completely hid my penis. I had to use a hand towel as a sling in order to walk to the bathroom. When I went to the first visit he said everything looked like it was supposed to. I asked when we would try to inflate. He had me return in four weeks at which time he attempted the first inflation. The only pain I experienced was on my scrotum where he was squeezing the pump. Three of four times his fingers slipped off the bulb and hit a testicle. I felt him squeeze 15-20 times. I could not feel any motion on my penis so I asked if anything was happening. He said, “Yes…reach down and feel.” My first statement was, “Is that all there is?!” He said it would pump up more but he didn’t want to go 100% on the first time. I tried to inflate it and found I was unable to squeeze the bulb. He said it would get easier and to go home and practice. I have tried several times and cannot compress the bulb. I am six foot, 270 lbs and, while I do have some health problems, upper body strength and grip are not an issue.

I still have a week before I go back but would like to know what kind of experience others have had. How much pressure is required to inflate this thing?

Try holding it just above the neck with one hand and squeezing the bulb with your dominant hand

That is how I have been doing it. It feels as if the bulb is almost solid. It is obviously yielding some as there is a noticeable, although very slight, beginning of an erection, the depression of the bulb is almost imperceptible.

My experience was almost the same as yours, in as much as the bulb was solid.

Keep at it and all of a sudden it will give after that it gets easier everytime you use it.

Better than my planned post-op appt. Surgery date is March 11th with overnight then return April 28th. Got an message from someone who has had same surgeon and he said he had one appt after and it was about six weeks. He was then turned over to local uro.

Just an update. After several days of trying, I finally heard/felt the "pop" and the bulb became easier to squeeze but after 15-20 squeezes I noticed no appreciable inflation. It sure would be handy if they could find some way to use a CO2 cartridge LOL.

Or a little electric pump, maybe with a remote control. Could have some real fun with that.
