Floppy head, arousal and sex

I am 59 with ED and peyronies and will need an implant. It seems like the more I read the more questions I have. I want to have my expectations clear prior to surgery. I have read some about floppy head or a soft glans. My questions are- Is floppy head just the result of the implant surgery OR the result of poor implant surgery or the wrong choice of the implant ? With an implant can you have sex without having arousal? Without arousal will your glans be soft making sex more difficult? It would be nice for me knowing that I could still have sex without being fully aroused.

Floppy head is the result of the tips of the cylinders not extending far enough into the glans. Not sized correctly. You can have intercourse aroused or not. If you have blood flow to your glans now, you should recover it after surgery. You will be able to penetrate anything aroused or not. I highly reccomend going with an experienced surgeon.

I agree with ED2013 I had the same questions as you did and now my only regret is I didn't have this done 10 or more years ago. My Doc has only done 100 of these implants in a ten year period and my results are awsome.

Yes I was also concerned about that,if you get the right surgeon it makes a big diffrence. I am 18 days out of surgery and my glans is stiff I can actually feel the implant up in the glans with only a 30% erection which is where the dr left me at.

As one of the brothers mentioned, floppy head occurs when the cylinders don't extend into the glans. Sometimes this happens when the cylinder length is too short. In my case it happened because the cylinders could not push into the glans. My revision surgery literally involved the doctor burrowing a hole into my glans so the cylinder would push farther. Things are much better now.
I confess I don't really understand the sex without arousal issue. Who would want to have sex without arousal? Seems to defeat the whole purpose...

Regarding sex without arousal: It used to be that being aroused made me hard. Now being hard makes me aroused. The inflated implant exerts pressure on the tunica albuginea, that hard container that surrounds the corpus cavernosum, along with the glans and even the prostate. When I inflate the implant I want sex, invariably.

I agree. Having a hard as a rock erection for as long as you want definately arouses me. And just the confidence it gives me turns me on as well. Knowing I can please any partner if given the chance.

The glans enlargement does have to with arousal and blood flow, my doctor said Viagra and muse would help that. That being said mine is so stiff I really don't notice it with the implant. I have noticed in the morning the glans seems to be larger which I guess is just natural blood flow in the morning as usual.
