"Dog ear pinch", do you get it?
"Dog ear pinch", do you get it?
One issue I'm having now that I'm no longer wearing my pecker pointed north is that I keep getting pinched by the folds in the implant when it is completely flaccid. I'm talking about when I squeeze as much fluid as possible out of my cylinders, where it folds over it pinches my shaft flesh to one degree or another and its rather uncomfortable. I prefer to wear it as deflated as possible to minimize any bulging but the only solution I've found is to keep several pumps in the implant at all times to eliminate the hard bends in the cylinders. Is there another solution that anyone has found? Will this possibly go away as the cylinders become more broken in? Thanks for any and all suggestions...peace

wanttokno,
The "fold in a straw" (sharp edges) feeling will go away ... in the mean time a few pumps will reduce the uncomfortable feeling. To eliminate the bulge look ... try wearing compression shorts and place your member off to one side or the other (down one leg) ...

I agree that a pump or two often adds comfort....and "style" points.
question b, be it AMS or Coloplast, do you believe that one can entirely deflate? Seems as much as I try and feel deflated in cylinders, after a while the cylinders seem to have gained a small amount of fluid. To me, It does stand to reason that fluid from "below" may be essentially impossible to deflate through pump so it "drifts". Perhaps it is more felt in Titan due to the material being somewhat more rigid feeling than AMS, not to say better or worse.
w, not sure about you but when inflated I can also feel around in scrotum and feel base of cylinders and also tubing inflated. my tubing evidently runs up on right side. I had lower, right abdominal discomfort a few days after surgery which I assume was reservior. b

I have an AMS 700lgx and my cylinders fill a little too after deflation. It never stays fully empty like when I first deflate and squeeze shaft thoroughly

Ya know, it is difficult to understand, just what is fully deflated. Morey believed it OK to add a few pumps some, but seemed to feel that there should be some time of "fully deflation". When I see him again, that is a question I have for him..... just what point do we consider the system at its best carry for cylinder life as well as least chance of "damage" to ourselves. b

Re: "Dog ear pinch", do you get it?
The literature that i was given from AMS says that letting the implant deflate by pressing the deflate button is all that is necessary. It went on to say something to the effect that it can be squeezed to remove more fluid. After some experimenting, I just press the button for about ten seconds and let it settle as it will.
I am sixty-six years of age and dealing with gradually worsening ED for twenty years. At sixty-three I wanted something that worked reliably. I got an AMS 700 LGX implant in 6/25/13. I am entirely pleased with the outcome. My surgeon was Dr. Karpman.

Thanks guys, leaving it so that it looks like a pride inducing "semi" seems to be the way to go. Now how do I explain it to the mothers of little children when going to the community pool, and in spite of wearing loose trunks it looks like a "Johnsonville Braut" is hanging down my leg? I suppose that I could just smile and say that it runs in the family and would they like their daughters to meet my son! I really just don't want it to be creepy having to live in the neighborhood and all. Be good ya'll, peace...
