Rise to the occasion but unable to have happy ending

I had an implant placed on March 28th. I get good results as far as firmness, but def. have lost length. It takes a little practice getting inside as the head wants to bend forward from the shaft. my Uro referred to this as the Concord affect, (as in the plane). Once that was figured out, We were able to have good intercourse, with the exception that I was unable to climax. I struggled with this with the shots (ntm lots of pain), as well. Has anyone else found this to be a problem. I am 51 y/old and have never had an issue before this year with finishing. The e.d. has been a problem for years.

hooligan63,
Sorry to hear of your Implant results (SST deformity) ... you should consider getting it replaced ...

Poor Glans Support

Poor support of the glans penis by cylinder or rod tips leads to a drooping appearance of the glans, which is commonly referred to as the “SST deformity” after the supersonic transport (Concorde) nose appearance on takeoff and landing. This may result from inadequate distal dilation; too short cylinders; or in the case of minor deformity, variations in anatomy.

Correction of this deformity can be done in one of two ways. The definitive correction involves removing both cylinders, perforating the distal capsule with Metzenbaum scissors, redilating the distal corpora, resizing, and then inserting longer cylinders or the same cylinders with longer rear tip extenders. Alternatively, dorsal plication of the glans back onto the shaft of the penis can be performed. This latter procedure is preferable when there are minor but otherwise bothersome degrees of SST deformity.

That is very helpful, I will keep that in my mind when I discuss this with my urologist. Thanks.

Hooligan63,
You mentioned that you had difficulty climaxing when you were using injections & you experienced a lot of pain from the injections. Pain can prevent you from climaxing. Are you experiencing pain when you have intercourse with the implant? If so, you might be over-pumping. That can sometimes inhibit climaxing. Another thought is that you don't have to pump the implant up at all to masturbate. Are you able to climax during masturbation without pumping up at all, or after just a little pumping?

Frankly, I wouldn't give a urologist who implanted too short another chance.

I had Titian implanted last DEC, my dr told me it could take a while to get the climaxes back but if you had them before they would come back. It said it may take up to a year with some guys.

I had a Titan implant about six months ago. It took awhile for the swelling to go down and the feeling to return. When I first started using it, I had a hard time climaxing. However, now it is getting better and I am having some good slow sex with good orgasms.

Was not told anything regarding the time for Orgasms to come back. I have "tried taking matters into my own hands' per se and on 2 occassions have been able to climax. I do still have some discomfort getting used to the tubes and especially the tips. It could be that the discomfort is distracting me from being free to get into the experience fully. I question too whether the fear of not climaxing might also add to the distraction, It seems to bother my fiance' more than me at this point. To be able to have intercourse for the first time in years without pain from the injections is awesome in and of itself. I do not have the sensation that I had prior, but hopefully as several of you have stated, that may come back in time.

hooligan63,
Perhaps you would have better results with a better fitting Implant ... I would suggest seeing a different URO that specializes in Implants/revisions. Don't settle for a poor fitting (SST syndrome) Implant ... it shouldn't cost anything to get it replaced ...

after last years Titan implant it too me three or more months to have an orgasm. Then I did!!!!!!! Sometimes my orgasms seem to last 2 or 3 times as long as my "old orgasms". Be patient. One day you'll be "thrillingly surprised"!
