R,
That left nut is just getting out of the way from that new piece of equipment. Ha. Just take it easy and gently find pump in a few takes, think about how you will grip, but dont try to use it until surgeon oks. My scheduled actvation was at seven weeks and it was much easier than the unscheduled inflation at four weeks. The pumping is all in practice and you will get plenty of that after activation visit. I have small, but pretty strong hands and I am getting fair at the one hand pump if in right position. You are early on, take it easy.

Ronnie,
Ice packs until the swelling goes down ... heat (warm bath) after that ...

At first (after Ok from URO to pump) the pump ball will be difficult ... this becomes easier after a while, once the cylinders stretch a bit. No there is no noise when pumping ... however the first pump you should feel a pop sensation. This is the check-valve opening ... once you start pumping daily ... on deflating some guys report you can hear the fluid returning.

As for activation ... the worst part (for me) is squeezing/holding the deflate button. If you pump too much the first few times it becomes rather uncomfortable ... to avoid this pump until just slightly uncomfortable. Then wait a few and add a pump or two ... and repeat. It takes about 6 months to max (size wise) out ... so don't be in a big hurry. Progress slowly ... but pump every day ... enjoy!
