Implant Surgery When You're Single

I went through the implant when I was single. Although I networked and hired nursing-type people to help out, it was rough to not have a motivated person to keep me focused on the goal. Anyone else have a similar experience? I was able to stay at home the night of the surgery, but looking back, I wish I had arranged more support. I wanted to see if anyone else had similar obstacles/personal situations that other people up for surgery should watch out for?

Are you dating someone now? If so, are both of you satisfied with the implant? I guess that's the most important thing for you now..
I think it's not time for you to look back.. :)

PS. I'm also single and discussing the implant option.

I live in Georgia but had my operation in Philadelphia. I'm single & my sister & her family live outside of Philadelphia. My sister drove me to Philadelphia & we stayed in a hotel the night before the operation & the night following the operation. She stayed at the hospital while I was being operated on & drove me to the doctor's office the day after surgery & helped out immensely. I don't know how I would done it if it had not been for her. I stayed at her house for about a week following the surgery. By that time, I was able to take care of myself.

I am sorry you had such a tough time, but everyone's experience is different.

I am posting just so this post may scare people off. I flew to Baltimore and went through the implant procedure with no support there. I had the surgery at about 6 AM on Wed April 9. I Stayed in the hospital overnight and left for the hotel in a cab the next day. It was a bit painful but not too bad. I stayed in the hotel that Thursday night. On Friday about 4 I got on a plane and flew back to Denver. I used a wheel chair in the airports to get from the ticket counter to the plan and from the plan to the plane to baggage where I had someone meet me. All in all in was not too unpleasant.

Within a week I went to a short court hearing which again was not a big deal. I had sex after 4 weeks.

I drove myself five hours to the hospital, had surgery in early afternoon, spent the night on IV antibiotics, started declining pain medication at midnight, was discharged at noon, drove home for five hours in Bay Area traffic. Not fun but doable.

I to am doing it single. I live out of the country so staying in hotel in Arkansas. I flew to baltimore last Tuesday, had the implant Wednesday , spent the night in hospital, next night in hotel then flew back to Arkansas on Friday.
It would be nice to have someone run to the store ect, but it is doable
