Insurance for Implants

Wondering if anybody has any insight on this. I am currently uninsured but plan on buying some either through the exchange or through medicaid (when I move out to California--they didn't expand it here in Texas.

First of all, does anybody know whether medicaid (medi-Cal, as they call it in California) covers this procedure? How would I go about finding out? I did a web search and came up with no info. I know that medicare covers it but I don't want to wait 20 years!

If I opt to go through the exchange, would there be any affordable coverage? I suppose I could ask one of the navigators; it's just kind of a sensitive subject.

I'm dirt poor right now, btw. I suffer from chronic lyme and can only work part time and , even so, have to call in sick on certain days. My family is offering financial support while I am going through the disability application process. As it stands, I was told I was too poor for the exchanges and (as a TX resident) too rich for Medicaid. I'm not asking for legal (or illegal) advise, but is it possible to fudge one's income with the exchanges by making it higher than it is? Meanwhile I'm falling through the proverbial cracks, which sucks. But that's another story.

I can't answer your questions about MediCal, even though I live in California. However, I too have chronic Lyme and am doing pretty well. Let me know if you want to talk.
