Dr Eid is a great surgeon and personality. He will answer all your questions over the phone if you have a problem. I appreciated his promptness in returning my call when I had questions.
Hope you have a speedy recovery.
Titan implanted by Dr Eid Due to Peyronies, Implant was the only option for me.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, you have a good bunch of guys that are only a few weeks ahead of what you will be experiencing so make sure to take advantage of their experience when ever you need to check on you progress, feelings or outcomes.
The recovery of all has been really good but we each have our moments or timings that we like to check on.
Welcome

ok will try to give a description of my procedure

]PRE Surgery Thursday 6 Nov 2014

Flew in to NYC yesterday checked in to Hotel ( I have decided to use some travel points for a nice hotel to recover for a few days)
had a long walk thru the city met a friend for dinner ( i moved away form NYC 2 years ago after living here for since 1985) had a great time early night slept well crazy dreams. Woke up shower quick bfast. I had to redo my EKG I live in Sweden and when they did it there last week they missed one part it was no big problem Janice at Dr. Eid made me a appointment with a local Dr cost was $30 ( my co`pay) was in and out in 30 min. walked over to Dr. Eid for Pre Surgery visit. I was taken right in to Dr. Eids office we went over what to expect answer all of my questions ( was definitely getting nervous and thinking about a quick flight to the islands) after we signed some paperwork Dr. Eid examined my urethra to make sure there was no blockage for when they will insert the catheter. ( this was very very uncomfortable starting to worry i might not be up for the pain that is about to come) they also did a bladder scan. All was good. Dr said see you in the AM took care of some paperwork and payment at front desk and I was done until 2Mrow . Penis hurt the rest of the day burning all day and crazy burn when taking a piss.Did lots of work stuff mats a friend for dinner (he would be getting me at hospital after the surgery ).Have to say it was tough to sleep after all the shit I went thru to get here i am starting to have second thoughts talked to my wife she was great she said just come home if you don't want to do it. Got a few hours sleep need to be at hospital at 8AM!!!

Surgery Day Fri Nov 7,2014

Got a little sleep thinking of doing a runner all night!!! But here I am at hospital 8AM signed in some paperwork and then brought in to meet my pre op nurse she took me to the changing room gave me a bag a robe and a locker after I changed and locked up my stuff she took all of my vitals next we went up to the pre op area I laid down and was started on a IV of antibiotics had to answer lots of medical history questions I was there for two hrs but it went superfast met with anesthesiologist he talked me thuru his part ( spinal block and some a light " cocktail") Dr.Eid and his intern came and talked to me for a little while when I told him about having second thoughts he said it would be no problem to walk away right now! I found my balls and walked to the O.R. wow seeing all of the tools laying out and all of the staff wow!! maybe 2 min later I was out cold!! I remember the doc telling me he was about to do the spinal and that he had given me a little cocktail in my IV and the next thing I woke up in the recovery room. Its very fuzzy but the doc stopped by and said it went well he did find more scarring then he had thought but was able to fix it. I am in 0 pain now but head is a little wonkie.
around 2 hours here in recovery they need you to walk before they release you. I think the stuff they give you to knock you out takes all most all of the pain away.
Now in the release area i am given some food and a coffee very welcome as I have not eaten for 18 hours. after 20 min the first bit of pain starts to hit and i also realize I have a full bag of pee strapped to my leg I had not even felt or thought about the catheter I was given a pill for pain the nurse showed me how to empty the bag and how to remove the catheter hope i remember! the pill did not do much not sure what I am feeling I think its just over all pain can't say this hurts or this hurts its just one big pain nurse gave me one more pill said I was a big guy . My friend came and signed me out now we have to find a cab in the rain at 4 in NYC!!! Can not believe I am on the other side of this!! Back to my room went to sleep in 2 min woke up from pain after 6 hours took 2 pills as per doc orders right back to sleep slept all night had to empty pee bag a few times but don't really remember it being a problem.
