Thought for sure my doctor would prefer the Coloplast or LGX, but instead suggested the CX. Thoughts?

Coloplast and CX are more for guys that tend to be a little larger or have peyronie's disease or some other kind of scarring. The axial rigidity on them is much higher due to the kind of fibers being used. Though the LGX does lengthen, the fibers have to move in two directions. The trade-off is that you lose a bit of axial rigidity. This is all relative of course, but my wife and I opted for the CX, mainly because of the more natural flaccid feel, as my size is slightly above average.

That said, having read most of the forum posts here, at the end of the day it comes down to the skill of the surgeon. Also, typically whatever a person is implanted with...they love! I am not really aware of anyone that has had all three devices implanted, so it's VERY hard(if you'll excuse the pun) to tell. At the end of the day, if you trust the surgeon...trust his or her recommendation. They do this all the time and can see or intuit things that we can't even begin to see. Not because they are smarter, but because they have more experience.

To be honest, I went into my consultation expecting to get an LGX, but was told CX would be much better for me, and now I can say I am thrilled that that is what I am getting. I'm sure a part of it is rationalization, but I don't care. At the end of the day I want a cock that works on command for as long as I want, with no worry whatsoever.

Best of luck to you!!

No problem!! We are all here to help each other. So awesome that a forum like this exists. I can't even imagine how difficult it would be to discuss this stuff in the real world. Which says nothing for trying to find guys in thee same boat.

Good luck with your surgery! Is it tomorrow?

I'll be joining you soon ;). We can swap AMS CX stories, lol ;)

At consultation, I was recommended the cx, but he ended up implanting the lgx. I'm delighted with it. It gets super hard, I can only imagine how stiff the cx is. One thing a woman told me after I had an encounter with her sums it all up. She said "Every man should have an implant"

Ed2013,

I am going with Dr. Karpman as well. So glad to hear that you are enjoying your implant and putting it to good use. If ergo through this we better use it well ;)

Out of curiosity, was it at the appointment the day before the surgery that the switch was done, or during the surgery? Honestly just curious. At the end of the day I trust him and know things are sometimes good ideas at consultations and bad ideas during surgery, which is why I trust the expert.

And how hard would you say your LGX gets? Honestly so fascinated to feel mine after, lol!!

The change was made during surgery. It gets way harder than natural. Women love it!

I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 and it has given my wife and myself tremendous pleasure over the past 6+ years.
I would do it again in a heart-beat!!
