Post-Op Recovery

So I'm a couple days post-op, and I must say that recovery is going much more smoothly than I had anticipated. I'm trying to get past the anxiety of some of the sensations that I'm feeling down there. I've felt around down there and can feel the pump, but it's all so super sensitive down there. I have a hard time believing that that sensitivity will subside to the point where I'll actually be able to pump. But obviously it must if y'all are able to do it.
One sensation that I'm trying to understand is the area where I *think* the reservoir is located. Whenever I bear down in the slightest, such as one would when taking a BM, there is this sensation that I would equate to the feeling of a hernia. It's in my lower left abdomen, groin area, normally covered by pubes. Hoping this goes away as healing progesses, otherwise future BM's could prove difficult. Any insight?

You're right on track - all that you describe will clear up pretty quickly.
Congrats and good luck!

Mummy I am on day 9 . The stomach will clear up in about a week and yes I like you wonder how on earth can I ever squeeze that pump. To touch it on day 9 sends shockwaves of pain throughout the body. On a brighter note I did manage to ejaculate today. So everything looks good so far. I will keep you posted.

So glad to hear the stomach thing will clear up. I'm less than 9 days and ejaculated today too. Took some effort, but was much needed.

WOW! This is amazing. I love reading updates like this. It kind of calms my nerves as I am scheduled for Dec. 16. I am getting anxious now. My preop physical is Dec. 1. I don't look at that as being a huge hurdle. Aside from having that I'm ready to go. Now it's just the waiting that's driving my crazy. lol

Day 9 in the books. Drive for no more than 10 minutes. Even the kitchen is still a challenge. I am sure the pain is better, no Tramodol today and no other pain mess. .5 Xanax for sleep. The pump still sends shockwaves of pain when I touch it. The stomach is about 85% better so you will be fine there at least. In the first couple of days the stomach was really sore. It made you forget how sore your balls are but you remember real quick when the stomach pain subsides. I hope tomorrow is even 2-3% better I would be happy:-/I don't care what anyone says when a Dr sticks a butcher knife through your balls and reams your penis with a steak knife, then prys you open from the balls and inserts a small plastic bottle it fucking hurts and hurts a lot!!

If I wasn't such a drug addict I would have easily eaten 50, 30mg Roxie's by now but I can't. Maybe today seemed worse because no Tramodol?

Everyone's recovery is vastly different it seems. I'm only a couple days post-op and I was out with friends last night. I tried to sit as much as possible, and the walk back to my car at 4am was a bit rough. I've only taken maybe three of the oxycodone, and ibuprofen a couple of times. But ymmv.
