Confusing Post Operative Instructions

I've read a number of on-line post operative instructions following implant surgery and to say I'm confused would be an understatement. Here's a few of the confusing issues:
1. Wear tight compression clothing
2. Wear loose fitting clothing
3. Avoid Stairs
4. Ok to climb stairs
5. Start walking immediately
6. Don't walk for the first 2-3 days
7. Apply Ice only
8. Apply heat only
9. Apply ice and heat
10. Wear a jock strap
11. Don't wear a jock strap
Speaking of jock straps-I find most cause pain. They aren't designed for a scrotum that's the size of a grapefruit. Also your penis is supposed to point upward. After surgery mine wants to point straight out. Jock straps do not help your penis stay in an upward position. I can't find any specific jock straps made for men who've had penile implant surgery. Heck the jock straps the hospital gave me caused so much pain I tossed them in the garbage as soon as I got home. Isn't there anything out there that can make life more comfortable for the first 2 weeks post surgery?
