cylinder measurements

Postby billylee » Thu Apr 02, 2015 10:35 am

I have my Coloplast Titan as of March 11th, 2014. I am very happy with it and what it gives me cosmetically, self esteem, and ability in sexual activity that I never had. What confuses me in reading so many posts and signatures is the numbers used for devices and how they relate to individuals. It was suggested by my surgeon to use Coloplast as it would give me more girth, something I lacked, especially when stretched outward to vision length of finished "product" (not per my pre-surgery Pos-T-Vac specs). My device was numbered as 20 with 1 cm extension. I trust that is length of cylinders/extension chosen to give me the closes "fill" when inflated to equal all the room available (got to work with only hat you got). I read nowhere about cylinders that are perhaps larger in width to insinuate a building of girth for patient. Generally, looking at the majority of numbers used on FT, 20-22 is very common, making me, thankful that I am, supposedly, normal in total length. While my girth when in Pos-T-Vac seemed much larger than my post-surgery, final prosthesis inflated is slightly larger than STRETCH. For a poor example....if you look at a turtles neck then grab his head and pull, his neck gets pretty thin. Much the same for me, I did get girth larger than "stretch" but not significantly. SO, where do the numbers (18, 20, 22, etc) reflect to girth rather than just length? (I of course understand that a 22 would have more girth than 20, but the extra 2 cm in length could be dangerous). I felt others, as I, might have entertained this question when considering the surgery and its final "outcome". I am happy with what I got, but did truthfully have hopes of more girth than finished "product" reveals....got to admit, surgeon was right when comparing end product to flaccid stretch (turtles head example), I got the length and more girth....but compared to pre-surgery PTV or blood erection, girth was not significantly greater (remembering back).

I have posted a mere question remembering that the final appreciation of a very "handsome" penis that is erect at my command, and for use longer than I had ever dreamed, IS magnificent. I do most definitely recommend Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (IPP) as soon as one realizes their ED is not fixable in any other comfortable manner. b

Hi billylee, are you able to tell if the device is fully inflated to maximum?

I had the Titan implant in March. Since I was informed to cycle it daily I have noticed an increase in girth from the first tme until now. The Titan is supposed to stretch more in diameter than length by design. I typically inflate in a hot shower until pump gets hard to pump. I'm very satisfied with results.

There are times I think that if I had just a tiny bit more fluid I could get a tad more length, but I suspect at a danger to glans. I squeeze pump bulb until it is very firm and will not push any more fluid. After some use and movement, I like to check to see if it will take another squeeze. Usually it will. That extra squeeze is more of a mind thing than a need. So far I would say I have gained only slightly in girth and perhaps a very small loss in length.........but so nice to have a lasting erection.
