Had the implant yesterday and so far better than I thought. Laying around today before drive home tomorrow to try to prevent swelling per Dr Kramer's orders. No where near the time to advise others to go for it yet but if things continue to progress this way very hopeful. No swelling so far and minimal bruising. Dr Kramer and his team were spectacular. Professional and yet very caring and down to earth. No apparent discomfort on their part dealing with an implant as if it was an everyday procedure (nice part of being at a high volume center) The National Guard presence around the harbor where we stayed and walking around the Univ of Maryland hospital while a bit disconcerting was also very reassuring. Thanks to the Baltimore police and the Guardsmen for putting their lives on hold and on the line.

Great night of uninterrupted sleep last night. Only slightly sore today 2 days from surgery which is amazing to me. Dr Kramer has been great answering a couple of emailed questions from me. Minimal bruising and minimal swelling so far but following orders to not be up a lot. Riding home to NH right now and even car sitting not bad.

One thing in particular I like about Dr. Kramer is his willingness to remain engaged and available after the procedure. He gave me his personal cell number and email, and always responded to my questions quickly.

Same here Dave. Unbelievable how available he makes himself. POD #3 and even better today. Minimal swelling and while I know I had an implant I can move and adjust myself and feel the pump without pain. So far seems like I have benefited from Dr Kramer's surgical expertise as well.

Well today is my one week anniversary. Much less discomfort with only some slight soreness at the incision site and an ache when i sleep on my side and compress my scrotum and my testicle's new roommate the pump they are sharing space with now. I never hung low so being high and tight there has had to be some pushing and shoving, The pump appears to be in perfect position low and easily palpable but is still a little sore. No swelling or bruising now. This has been so easy so far that as a physician myself that has seen delayed complications I am afraid there may still be issues so trying to do a reality check regularly but honestly so far this has been a minimal procedure. We will see how the implant works and be reassured about delayed complications further out for sure but hope I can be reassuring to those considering an implant at least so far. Truly blessed at this point. Now just like I couldn't wait for implant date now anxiously awaiting permission to inflate! :-)

Hi,
Thank you for keeping us posted. Is it possible to know what type of implant you have?
Best Wishes.
