One Week Post-Op

Postby jerseyhulk » Thu May 28, 2015 2:25 am

Hello all! Well I just made one week, hoo-ray! It has been a rough one though! I still have a fair amount of pain, I'm sure that's to be expected being only one week. The swelling went down tremendously! It no longer feels like I'm hauling a watermelon between my legs lol... I get some stinging in my glands area and along the base of my penis sometimes. From reading other posts, it seems to be a popular area of pain. My doctor left me pumped up about 75%. It's been embarrassing cause I'm having trouble hiding it and I find it impossible to wear a jock strap pumped up because it tends to push your penis inward from the head causing an excruciating amount of pain. I started soaking in a hot bath and I get to playing with the new members of the household. I'm concerned cause I can feel the pump but can't identify the parts. I guess it comes with time, practice, and how hot she is at the moment, if she's really hot I'll figure it out for sure, I'll be squeezing everything lol!.

So I'd like anyone's input on my experience so far and any suggestions. As far as I'm concerned, I made the right choice getting the implant and would do it again. The surgeon and everything was fantastic! I think it's just gonna take a little more time to heal. I can' wait to get out there and start enjoying and living life again and not have to worry about Ed anymore. Suffered with Ed for 12 years now so don't pay to get a little impatient now lol. Thanks everyone! God bless!

Hey thanks LMCatman. I still have some swelling but feel as if I lost some size. Do you think this swelling can mask some of the size? After it goes down do you think it may be bigger than now? Lol

Ditto on the first week(s) sucking....man, I know how I felt, even asking myself what the hell did I allow to be done to me? I was miserable, but each day it seemed to hurt a little less, and the swelling also lessened. I was inflated about 50% for the first 9 days, and then deflated at the doctors office and told to start cycling. Well, that didn't happen as I was still in too much pain to even THINK about pumping anything in my scrotum....so it was postponed for one week. Back at the doc's office on day 16, and learned how to inflate & deflate, and have been cycling it daily ever since. It has now been a little over 9 weeks, and things are so much better. I know what you mean about trying to wear a jock strap too...I could not do it due to the pain from the tips of the cylinders pushing into the glans. So I wore very loose pants with boxers, and oversized shirts that pretty much hid everything. I did that for the first 8 weeks, because even deflated, I appeared to have a "semi" erection because the penis poked straight out. Then at week 8, I tried wearing briefs, and found that I could wear them, and that the pain from the pressure forced on the penis had greatly lessened, as well as the pain at the base of the penis caused by the folds of the cylinder. So give it time....it does get better quickly and you will enjoy having an erection anytime you want.

Hi FlaDon,

I just past 5 weeks and 3 days post op. This was my third surgery after two failed attempts. Pain is less this time around but there still is pain especially along the penis as well as numbness. The last week or so I feel like I have plateaued with the pain with little daily improvement. I had some seepage from one incision last week. Doctor gave me antibiotic and said to wait at least 2 weeks before attempting pump up.

Sounds like your pain subsided after 8 weeks. How were you after 5 weeks?

GTO,
At 5 weeks, the overall pain had greatly subsided, although there was still pain in the glans, from the tips of the cylinders. I also had some residual pain in the penis and scrotum for a while (a few hours) each time I cycled it. But I kept it up, at least once a day for up to an hour at a time, or until the pain it caused became too much.

I just completed my first week with my implant. my balls, and cock are a bluish purple and swollen to the point I was thinking they will explode. I was wearing my jock strap and icing them down but it seems to be taking forever just when I thought it couldn't get worse I woke up this morning with my cock bend forward at a 45 deg angle. what was interesting was when I stand up to walk the bend disappeared. I immediately called my doctor and went to see him immediately. I dropped my pants and he examined my cock and told me that some swelling was present and some cleared up and the bending was probably due to the difference in swelling along the cock. has anybody else had this experience and how many weeks were you black and blue

I am at one week and my bruises are pretty much gone but I still have a fair amount of swelling. I haven't had any pain that required narcotics since day two and haven't taken any Advil since the 6AM dose this morning. At the rate I appear to be healing, He's going to have to dig the stitches out next week. Day four was a bit of a panic but that was mostly cabin fever I think. I finally felt the deflate valve today. scrotum is still swollen as is the pubis where they placed the reservoir. Shaft is also swollen and kind of spongy. However just touching myself to examine is generating sensations I haven't felt in years. I was totally impotent from a prostatectomy.

I bathe torso and genitals in Hibiclens daily and the home health care nurses change my bandages daily. No sign of infection, no weeping seams, anything. Nurses asked if I did anything to prevent infection because it is healing so well.

I am looking forward to next week to get the stitches out. Five weeks and counting by the boyfriend.
