Went to urol. and he agrred to do the procedure, he has no favorites, although he does more coloplast than the ams. He said it's up to me as to which one I want. Sure would like to hear from Coloplast guys and AMS 700 LGX guys for their pros and cons. This may happen as quickly as 5/19/2011. I use to be about 6.5 in length and 7.25 to 7.5 in girth, but that has all changed since onset of ED with type11 diabetes. Does the ams maintain your length as advertised, does the coloplast maintain length also. Still have not talked with wife about this, hopefully tonight. Any thoughts and input will be greatly appreciated .

I agree with max, if you have 7.5 in girth, wow. A pop can is only 8-1/4, I just measured one! If you pulled that out on me, I think I would run for cover!!
At any rate, enough of the humor. I had an AMS700LGX implanted 8 weeks ago. I was a little over 6 in length and 5-1/2 in girth (which I've always been told is relatively thick). I measured last night, I am now 6-1/4" in length. I didn't measure the girth last night, but the last check a week ago showed 5-1/4. My wife tells me it feels longer and thicker every time we have sex. This morning, I was in her farther than I have ever been. So, my answer about the LGX, yes-it lives up to its hype. Guys on here tell me it keeps getting bigger for a year or so, and I've never heard of anyone losing girth.
I know from my research, the Coloplost Titan seems to ge the choice for larger dicks. I think it may be by default, because 21 cm is the largest LGX, and I know the Titan has been put into some pretty big guys. If you are indeed that thick, it may be your only choice.
One issue I had that was just resolved 3 weeks ago (when my deflate button began working) was I was walking around with a 5 inch + semi erection for quite a while. I was getting concerned that this was as small as it was going to get, and it was a problem both fitting it in my pants and with a very obvious bulge. I was quite self conscious. Thankfully, 3 weeks ago it suddenly deflated to what almost appears natural. Most people might not know the difference if they were to see me flaccid. I know because it is longer than it every was "limp" before. The coloplast will not shrink in length, your flaccid length and your erect length will be the same. That is something to consider. Even now, I find myself "adjusting" my junk much more than I ever did, though it is possible to get comfortable now, and the bulge is more subtle, I just look like a fairly hung guy, not someone with half a woody.
Good, luck. read the posts on here, there's a lot of info.
Dave

I don't want start controversy but I think 7.5 is a measurement error. Bigger/larger colored pornstar are 6.5 - 7 max ( girth )

7.5 was a typo should have been 5.5 . Spoke with the wife last night about the impending surgery she did not seem to concerned, but maybe I did not give her enough info and she did not want to pry. Anyway, I'm call the uro Monday and am going to shoot for 5/19 for implant date. Still have not decided on the coloplast or LGX. Am leaning to ther LGX and although the uro has done more coloplast than LGX he is leaving it up to me. I am concerned about loxing some length, and I undersstand that the LGX may have coloplast beat in the length and girth recovery. Anyone able to vouch for this one way or the other. Not trying to push but need to know anyone's thoughts asap. Oh, one more thing, once you have been implanted and things are up and working, has anyone used an erection pump after implant procedure. Does anyone have any info on that?
Thanks Guys,
Bill

About the pump, mostly I've heard it is an absoulute no-no, but apparently ther may be some conditions where it is helpful, I don't know. I have not and I don't intend to try it as I would be worried about damage to my implant and worse my penis. Either the LGX or the Titan will give you errections that are more than hard enought so I don't believe you will need any help in that area. However, the implant does not help you to have an engorged glans which increased the sensitivety, since my RRP my glans does not become engorged on a regular basis. If you are still having engorgement then there is every reason to believe that will continue after the inplant but the implant will not help that.
On another note, given your revised girth of 5.5 inches, a quick calculation indicates that is a diameter of 44.5mm. I think the LGX max cylinder diameter is about 21mm, I am not positive about that. If 21 is the biggest the you will lose a little girth with the LGX as you would need about 22mm cylinders to be around 44-45mm girth. I like my LGX as it looks natural in me and I like the flacid state where it can get shorter and very limp if I want it to be. However, that may not important to everybody and given your size maybe the Titan would be a good choice, especailly if you want to have your orginal girth or even a bit larger, The only downside is the titan does not get shorter when it is defalted and it is a little stiffer also when it is uninflated. I would not get too concerned about which as both have features that offset their downsides. One approach if you are unable to decide is to let the doctor decide what he thinks is best.

I know a guy on this board who said he is a stiff 6.28" girth with an LGX. LGX is going to be my choice. And 24cm is the largest cylinder you can get with the LGX but it is a custom order.

I have a titan and I am new but my doctor assures me that you can gain in girth and size with with the Titan. I know from hard to soft there is a little difference in size but for me I have not yet gotten the guy to look down and he stays pretty semi. Now I am not hung... it is about 5.5 in length (measured when only partially inflated) and I use to be 6.5 before cancer. I lost NOTHING post cancer and I have normal "trimix" erection. My doctor says my outlook for significant gains in length and girth is very promising and he has seen and done a lot so there is some hope for pre-cancer length. So I wonder if no gain with a Titan is a myth.
I am really pleased with my Titan. I do wish I could deflate more but I think I would trade that problem for the increase of size and girth which I am pleased with. I do have a lot of blood flow again since the surgery and I can see my veins nicely and my head swells pretty good when aroused. My sex drive is clearly back although I cannot use it yet... darn. I am just 2 weeks and 3 days out of surgery.
Honestly though I bet the differences are not all that great between AMS and Coloplast, so just make a decision and don't look back. I also set my expectation low hoping for at least a 4.5 so a 5.5.. I was really pleased and the fact he said he is sure I can add to that if I follow his instructions exactly. Well I have nothing to lose since I am already happy and everything is a gain from here.

Shadowwolf, Don't give up on the ablity to hang, although I have the AMS LGX, I had the same concern and i wasn't able to get mine limp until the soreness went completely away so that I could really squeeze the thing out while holding the deflate buttun. That didn't happen till about 6 weeks or so. Glad to hear you are still alive and no problems I guess. I didn't mention this to bufu, the OP, but I was given samples of both, the LGX and the Titan to look at handle and inflate in the Dr's PA's office. Other than they appear to be made of different materials some physical differences are the Titan has rarher pointed tips and the LGX's are more rounded the titan tips are of the same material the rest of the implant is and the LGX tips are solid and fairly hard and are sort of tan.
Bufu, good luck in your surgery and I hope you have a smooth recovery. If you are like me, I still can't believe I have a implant, but I also had an artificail urinary sphinter done at the same time so I am very much modified from the OEM plumbing, talk about tubes and pumps, I got them!
Let us know how you are doing.
