Final post-op checkup

I just had my final post-op check up with my doctor, Dr. Martin Dineen, today. He said everything was looking great, and that I don't need to return unless I have a problem. He said he never "discharges" his patients, and he is always available if I need him. It's been 3 and a half months since the implant, and while I am aware of its presence, it is in no way painful or bothersome. I went through about six to eight weeks where I was questioning my decision to have it done, but now, am so happy I went through with it. My doctor equates it with childbirth. When a woman is giving birth, most say never again because there is so much pain, but soon afterward, she forgets about the pain, and enjoys life with the baby. While the pain is still fresh in my head, it was all worth it. So to those who are sitting on the fence trying to decide whether or not to go the implant route, if you need it, go ahead and have it done. You'll get over all the pain and adjustments you may have to make. A working, reliable erection whenever you want and for however long you want it is truly a gift.
