Hi guys!

I 'm Latino so forgive my English . I am a boy of 21 who has a couple of years ago. Apparently by a venous leak. I've tried pills and injections without greater success. With my urologist agreed to receive an implant in March / April 2016 if I do not get improved ( I'm also in psychological therapy ) .
I wanted to guide me about some things please :
on the use of VED to keep size I have two questions. Is it risky to use these for the surgery ? I think it can cause a type of injury that can be harmful to the prosthesis .
the other is to prevent infections. Would you recommend to stop drinking a few weeks before the operation or have some particular kind of care you may get an infection ?

Stopping smoking if you do will do you more good than anything. Faster healing, better blood circulation and lower risk of infection including pneumonia. I was in a study a few years ago that proved gargling with listerine before surgery lowered a risk of complications. Pumping will do you much more good than harm according to studies and will keep you from developing fibrotic scar tissue that makes implanting more difficult and helps to keep you from losing length. I've not been able to get an implant but every time I get tired of the pumping routine and quit for a while, I have a shorter penis and the length you lose does not come back if you quit. You did well with your English. Try pumping 2 times per day for 10 minutes each time. Several of my doctors recommend that. Be well and good luck. d

I agree with alibaba and would add that yes, stop drinking alcoholic beverages a few weeks before the procedure. It raises blood glucose levels and slows the healing process, as well as elevating hepatic enzyme levels which reduce the effectiveness of medications.

The key (i'm convinced) is go to one of the best and huge volume guys- certain they get better results: kramer, eid, perito seem to be the world's 3 highest. Basically universally accepted. Ease of getting it done (location, cost) and comfort with the surgeon is key too.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I do not smoke but I like drinking. Do you think using the Ved , leaving alcohol and making gargle with one month in advance would be nice ? Or shall I start a routine preoperative now ?.

What to choose a surgeon , I 'm Chilean and I live in Chile, within my means I have chosen the best surgeon . The surgeon works with prosthesis Coloplast OTR .

I reiterate the thanks and hope rustic understand my English . I remain open to more recommendations. You guys are a great community !

docs have told me 3 months on the VED is preferred. The gargle study I participated in called for gargling only the day before and day of surgery and right before surgery. Great you do not smoke. You are already ahead. I think you have no problems as long as you take it easy on the liquor and clearly not the day before surgery. Best of luck to you. You are young and that is very advantageous. Most of us are two to 3 times your age before considering an implant only because our joy parts start to wear out like the rest of our bodies. You will heal faster, bounce back faster and have a great future! Healthy young guys like you have a better immune system and that helps too. Cheers. d

You are quite welcome my Chilean friend. I pumped morning and evening for 2 years and kept "that part" is such condition that the doctor would say he was amazed how supple it is. I was sort of , say that again when he said it the first time. I finally got tired of all that pumping and having worn out several pumps quit for a while. When I thought there was a chance I would be getting an implant again I would start up again but each time that fell through I quit. After a few such cycles It got down to maybe I would pump sometimes because there was no assurance I was getting an implant. I'm on the 17th doctor now and have pumped 1 time a day most days but can't get enthused as I still do not know if I ever will get a surgery date. You have to have a goal to keep you motivated over time. I do have to say the 2 years I pumped and a year I stretched the doc always said he was amazed how good of a condition it was in . When you stop, not so good any more and you can't get back where you were after you stop a while. You have a mission now sir. Do not lose sight of the mission. The end of the mission is your reward.
