Auto-inflation (Coloplast OTR) so possible 2nd implant

Hello all,
Any help guidance / advice would be greatly appreciated!!
I'm from the UK and 9 weeks ago I had Coloplast OTR fitted. The operation was in the evening so I stayed in the clinic overnight with the implant fully inflated. The morning after the operation the surgeon visited and deflated the implant! (I was still a bit drowsy with the after effects of the anaesthetic and pain killers.) By the time he had left the room my penis was at least half inflated again at about 4 ¼ inches. (110mm) .. (I’m not naturally big I’d say small to medium)
I was told to wear tight underpants and keep my penis upright towards my lower abdomen. This was impossible because I can’t bent in upwards or sideways due to the partial erection without a fair amount of pain and slight bleeding of the urethra. I was also told to come back to see him in 6 weeks! But, I called the surgeon out over the weekend after the operation due to the continuing erection because I could not wear underclothes, and at night I was being woken up when I moved due to the erection! He fully deflated to flaccid then left. Within a few minutes I was back to where I was before he visited and deflated.
Two days later I visited the surgeon again and he said I have “auto-inflation” and he hoped once the system was cycled all would settle down. It did not so 6 weeks later I had a laparoscopic operation to move the reservoir as it was thought abdominal pressure was causing auto-inflation. This did not really help (maybe fractionally) but gave me 3 laparoscopic holes. He told me to come back and see him in a few weeks (now 8/9 weeks post Op) which I have just done. He was able to fully deflate to very flaccid (with a lot of force and a fair amount of discomfort) and really “bendy” which was great. But within seconds auto inflation again back to how I was a few minutes before!
With me standing my penis is at about 4 o’clock and 4 ¼ inches, but sitting it is at 3 o’clock (non- bendy) which makes sitting for meals, or driving very uncomfortable and soreness of my penis, due to abrasion on my underclothes and tightness of even my loosest / slackest trousers. The only real comfort is at home wearing a dressing gown and no underclothes.
Now 9 weeks post op my surgeon is saying there must be something wrong so we will replace the whole Coloplast OTR implant! I’m sure I should not have this “permanent” partial erection and discomfort, so IF changing the whole implants will cure this, OK let's do it! However, if what I get is a repeat of what I have I will be nearly suicidal!
What a need to know please, is what I’m experience fairly common, and if so what does one do about all the discomfort, and do things improve?
Many thanks Guys and best regards,
Andy
