If pills worked - would you have preferred that over implant

I saw a thread here discussing whether you guys who took the step to get implanted would have preferred the implant to having good results with injections. Seems most posters say rather implant than injections.
What about pills? If you implanted guys, knowing what you know now about being implanted, could swap to having more or less 100% success with Viagra (but be 0% without Viagra), would you then prefer that to the implant?
I am very much looking forward to your comments. This is the exact question I am currently facing.
Thanks in advance.

The only reason I got the implant was that pills stopped working, and injections did not work at all. If the pills had continued to work I would not have had the surgery.

I am currently scheduled for implant surgery on the 30th but I have been doing the Viagra/Cialis/Levitra pill option for the past 10 years. If they had continued to work, I would definitely have continued down that road. The good thing is that when you are doing the pills, you can always change to a different option. New meds and new options are always coming out but once you decide to have surgery, you have destroyed teh potential of going back and trying something else. If the pills are working, I would stay with it.

Good point.
Looking forward to more good points!

IF pills had worked I would possibly not had the surgery, but then my urologist would have probably not suggested implant. Having implant does now tell me it is better than pills even if they had worked. They were expensive, sometimes dependent on what you did or did not eat (and how much), and there was that waiting period before useful, etc. In comparison now, a few pumps on the bulb in scrotum to get a good cosmetic look and semi-erection then when time is right, 4-5 more squeezes with one hand while other hand "plays". Or just go for it from flaccid to max erection with 15 or so max squeezes......20 seconds beats 30-60 minutes with meds. IMHO, the IPP is certainly a better alternative to pills and injections. I bet there are many of you who, like me, have taken a pill then things "went south" and time ran out to enjoy effects (or I went to sleep to soon)......or you spent the money for daily doses of Cialis and dealt with discomfort and GI upset hoping the erection was there when you needed it. And, did you ever find that a single dose lasted 36 hours as advertised. ha. With implant, it is there with a simple inflation process, something in time you should be able to do with one hand.

The pills always gave me so much digestion issues, I would say no. I only wish they would re-engineer the implants to provide the original length and girth.

Muse gave me a 2 minute erection, even at double dose. Yes My wife timed it. Viagra turned everything blue but worked mostly, Levitra sort of worked but gave me horrid back aches. Cialis had the least side effects but did little, now nothing but keep my blood pressure down so due to that I still take 20mg a day. All the pills would sometimes run out before we were through or sometimes out of the mood by the time they started working. All worked less over time. Started on Muse in 1999 and for the last 6 years taken one pill or another every day. 5mg Cialis did nothing but make some pill company $$. I get either 20 or 100 pills at a time but still have spent enough to probably buy an implant on pills over the years on the *_*)(&%^&%^*()* pills or shots. No pills and weenie just about dries up. d

Merrix am a little confused about your VL, the pills may get you up "100% of the time" but my VL makes it like a soft hot dog shortly thereafter.
My IPP is dependable, works first time every time. Let me repeat that, IT IS DEPENDABLE EVERY TIME. It last for as long as you want it. After the doctor inflated me and the soreness allowed I kept it pumped up all night! Six hours later it was still at attention. Had to sleep on your back.
No headaches or worry about how long before the VL starts before it goes soft. Don't have to worry about, if I change positions will it go soft and I'm not able to get it back in.
Now that a full erection is a few pumps away I can concentrate on thrusting techniques again.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBaprHhD6CA .... and you can do this on Cialis with VL?
Even if you are not in the mood and she is, you are just a few pumps away of her climbing on.
BTW: My final out of pocket cost was less than a 3 months supply of those headache pills. (your cost may vary)
Glad I joined the Bionic Brotherhood. Would consider having an IPP again about as long as it takes me to pump up to an erection now.

Thanks guys.
What you are mostly saying here, is implant is better because of the reliability and the durability of the erection. And that basically with an implant you become a super-lover, better than pre-ED.
That's obvious. And a non-complete comparison.
Firstly, the comparison was implant vs pills which solved ED.
Secondly, which no one mentioned, this is a normal blood induced erection (by pills) vs a saline filled cylinder induced erection. It is an erection which your wife can make happen vs one you make happen in the shower. It is a natural feel during sex vs a feel I wouldn't know since I'm not implanted. The length loss. And what about the ability to orgasm? The discomfort of a larger flaccid? Etc, etc.
My question is: if you take the whole package into account, then what would you prefer: pills which worked reliably or an implant?
Thanks again.

With venous leak, the psychological aspect makes it worse. Implant relieves that stress. Simple as that.
