Can you lose size over time even after implanted?

I'm considering getting an implant since I can't have sex with my current state. Also, I have lost 1.5cm in length over the past 2 years so I'm really depressed.
So I was worrying about length loss after the implant-- is it possible, 5-10 years down the road? What did your docs tell you?

Docs told me that an implant would put an end to me losing size though I would likely lose some more getting the implant.Once it is in at whatever size it is, then no more loss and usually if you need a replacement later on you go up a size. d

No, you shouldn't lose size. In fact the opposite is true. If you cycle your implant regularly, you probably will need a bigger implant when it comes time for a revision.

Nice, thanks guys! I've been suffering from ED for almost 2 years and I always suspected that I had lost some size. I measured my "unit" a few days ago and indeed I did lose 1.5cm
. I'm now barely at 13.5cm of length... so depressed.

I am 5 weeks out of surgery, Had an appointment yesterday with my surgeon and I have lost near 1/2" since implant surgery. He told me that by cycling to the max , 3 times a day that I could expect to gain about 1" of length back. That would put me back to pre Prostate surgery length. That would be great. Everything else is going better than expected for me.
I feel that my Doctor (Dr. Robert Cornell, Houston TX - eddoc.net) is one of the best, he is caring and honest with you. He told me yesterday that his 2 main concerns are 1- preventing infections and 2- Patient satisfaction, not the number of implants he can do in a year.
Before surgery I ask about interns doing surgery and his reply was "these are my patients and I will be the one to take care of them. That is what is important to me. He gave me his personal cell phone number and Email and he did answer me. So far I am a satisfied patient and I know there are other patients of his on this forum that feel the same way.

Think it is the AMS implant that it can help to regain length.
The Titan does not do that.
Does regaining some of previous length apply to both implants?
Thank you

All implants act as tissue expanders with frequent use. The AMS CX I have and Titan typically expand girth but will only expand lengthwise to the length of cylinder that is implanted and that should be only as long as penis corpora at the time of surgery (stretch test or injection size). If longer cylinders than real size at time of surgery are implanted to try to increase length there would be dog ears or folds in cylinders which is uncomfortable and liikely not functional. It also could put constant pressure on thhe end of the penis causing erosision. The AMS LGX however does expand as needed both in girth but also in length so theoretically can gradually stretch the penis lengthwise when inflated and over time increase length to regain length lost to get back to pre ED size. No claim of bigger than previous max size though. One potential issue having both length and girth expansion is that the cylinders may not be as rigid axially to keep penis straight if prior peyonies or curvature. Also "might" not keep penis straight if penis is a long one to start. And since a hard straight penis is best for intercourse I suspect most of us will have the CX or Titan. I suspect however that most of us will regain some size or in my case since no prior size loss will keep their size if surgery is done by a confident experienced surgeon that places the right length cylinders.

Thank you for the information guys, I appreciate it. By the way, how much length did you guys lose because of ED (not surgery)?

Last night I pumped as far, long, and hard as i could and made it to 7 1/8th" I showed my wife and she said, " but you used to have 9". REminds me of her first comment after the prostatectomy which was " I can't believe how little it is". You can lose a lot due to ED and the longer time, the more you lose. at first you can get some back, over time and too many breaks, you never regain what you lose after the break. I've taken breaks after burning out on dily pumping wher I only pumped 1/2 dozen times in a year.

One nice sideline advantage of having an implant is that you don't shrink up in the cold!
