Crinkling of Titan Cylinders when Deflated

This is my first contribution to this forum, although I have been reading it daily for the last six months. I was implanted with a Colorplast Titan on the 10th October last at the Cadogan clinic in London UK. The time factor between my initial enquiry and walking out of the clinic with the implant fitted was ten days, and the cost was £13,000 (or $19,000), which included two nights stay in a London hotel, and even the cost of the escort to the hotel after the operation which most people seem to have to pay extra for.
The whole thing went without a hitch, and now three months post-op its all healed up very nicely, and everything’s now working better than it ever has done in all the years that my wife and I have been married.
I only wish that I had had it done years ago, and based on my experience I would say to anyone contemplating an implant, go for it, you won’t regret it.
I only have one query which I thought that I could ask for advice here and that is the bunching up of the material of the cylinders at the base of the penis when deflated.
Merrix mentioned this a couple of days ago, and that is the first time that I have seen this mentioned on this forum. I was beginning to think that I was the only one.
I measure exactly six inches when full inflated, which reduces to 5 ½ when flaccid, so there is ½ inch of cylinder material that has to go somewhere. It feels as if it is all crinkled up at the base of my penis where the cylinders emerge from my body. It causes no pain or discomfort, but I can’t help wondering if this crinkling and folding of the cylinders will reduce their life. When I inflate the implant it all smooths out and the crinkling disappears, but it comes back again on deflation. I have tried pumping some fluid into the cylinders whilst deflated to try to correct this, but it needs so much that I am nearly fully erect before the crinkling disappears.
So my question is, am I causing this by doing the deflation incorrectly, although what I am doing is exactly what the doctor showed me on my final visit to the clinic, that is hold the valve whilst squeezing the penis, or is this crinkling just normal with the Titan implant.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
