Doc Says I Have No Medical Signs Of Ed

Postby Vagabond127 » Mon Mar 28, 2016 5:10 pm

So I'm all set to have the surgery and my Doctor says I have great blood flow. He wants me to REALLY think about it. I'm interested in the surgery because my erections are sporadic, I have performance anxiety, erections aren't super hard and I have a size complex. I like the fact of erections on demand, increase in girth, super hard erections, being a shower not a grower and the decision that an erection with an implant will be longer than presently.

I am going to think about but I'm pretty sure it's a go. Anybody else have this situation??

What do I do? I can really use some feedback

You might want to get a second opinion. Is this the same doctor who will do the surgery? Also, you mentioned your erections are sporadic so it's entirely possible that on the day you were tested your blood flow was great. If there is a third party payer involved you may have a problem because most health plans only pay for the implant if the doctor signs off on it being medically necessary, usually after pills, injections, vacuum pump, etc., have not produced satisfactory results. However, if your paying out of pocket then it's your choice. Perhaps while you're REALLY thinking about it you might want to talk to a mental health therapist about this just to bounce the idea off an objective person.

Performance anxiety can be overcome with counseling and possibly medication.

"... an erection with an implant will be longer than presently." No. If anything it will be shorter.

Implants are really the last stop. Have you tried all the pills?

I've tried everything with mixed results. Vacuum didn't work at all. I'm going to give cialis another try for 30 days. Maybe throw in some sex therapy. It sounds crazy but I see too many positives getting the surgery except for the co-pay and recovery.

I wouldn't go into this surgery expecting any kind of size increase. If you have a complex about your size, there's a chance getting implanted will make matters worse. You could see an increase in girth, but there's certainly no guarantee. I'd be careful with that aspect of your rationale at least. If you need an implant then it's a good option, but make sure you manage your expectations. It's not a cosmetic surgery first and foremost, although those are still important considerations.

I think that many men who are disappointed with their implants had incorrect expectations. An implant will make your penis hard; that's what an implant is for. Anything else (if anything) is just a nice side-effect.

I've had a doplar test performed today. Blood flow was at 70. The average for guys with ed is 17.

I've taken cialis, viagra, staxyn as well as injections off and on for 10 years. Results are mixed. He put me back on cialis daily for 30 days. My gut is telling me I need an implant. Well see.

What blood flow exactly? you have peak systolic velocities and end flow.... so you are telling me/us you have no venous leakage, nor arterial inflow problems? What other tests did you have done?

All I know is that I have a minor venous leak.
