Been a while since I've been on the board. Had a AMX 700 CX implanted approx. 50 months ago. It was never quite up to snuff, undersized and floppy head. Decided to go from the Texas panhandle all the way to Baltimore and have Dr. Andrew Kramer redo what didn't get fixed right the first time. Surgery is scheduled for Sept 7th. Medicare is picking up the remove and replace end of things. Not exactly nervous since I've been through it before but definitely ready to have the redo done. I know if anyone can make it better it will be Kramer.Damn nice guy!!

Due to a doctor who lied to me about his experience, I had a redo 12 months and 1 day after my first implant. Redo (by Dr Perito in Miami) went very smooth and recovery was fast and relatively painless compared with my first implant. Good luck man!!!!

What does he suggest as replacement? Good luck to you.

I see you're a fellow Texan. If you need the services of a really good, experienced penile implant Urologist in the future, I could heartily recommend Dr. Bryan Kansas in Austin. Excellent penile implant surgeon and a great guy to have as your doctor. Did a perfect job on me.

I am also on my second implant. Both were AMS 700 LGX. Surgeon was Dr. Michale Gross in Plano,TX. The first one lasted 7 years and the second one was placed in August 2015. Never had any bruising or any pain after both surgeries. Did have some swelling but that was to be expected. Good luck on your second operation hope everything goes well and you are pain free.

Karl Were your implants scrotal or infrapubic? I had a scrotal by Dr. Morey in Dallas with plenty of pain, swelling, and numbness in the underside of my penis for months. Dr. Kansas replaced my reservoir and reattached the pump via infrapubic with almost no pain or swelling. Dr. Kansas says he always uses infrapubic with his implants because there is so much less pain and so much quicker recovery with this approach. I was wondering how your surgeon got such good results for you.

If you're considering a re-do and you're out of town, just do it- I can vouch for Dr. Kramer as well. I was staying in a nearby hotel, he came and saw me at my hotel (came up, knocked on the door, sat there and chatted with me!), and picked up my prescriptions for me, did it all himself. Pretty solid guy.

Agree, Kramer's revision success looks unparalleled. Get 'er done

Both of my implants were scrotal, and he just used super glue instead of stitches to close me up

Interesting that your doctor used glue. My first incision was closed with large, course stitches and large, thick suture thread. The ends of the suture stuck out and were sharp like a porcupine nest on my scrotum for weeks. It was painful and slow and difficult to heal.
Dr. Kansas used fine suture thread with close stitches, like a plastic surgeon. He, also, applied glue to the incision. The result was a comfortable and quick healing. Never any pain or oozing like the first surgeon's work.
