Help with photo attachments

Can anyone tell me why I cannot open most photo attachments? Some are already open when I click on the post, most show the name.jpeg, but I can't open them. Thanks.

From what I understand some images were lost during the transfer of software recently ... the ones you see just the file name were lost in the shuffle.
