After-implant penis too small. Solutions?

I've written before about my previously 6"+ penis being 4" after the implant surgery. I had an email exchange with Dr. Eid on Sunday, and will do a video conference with him perhaps this weekend.

He asked if I could pull the glans away from the cylinder tips. I cannot. I don't know if that's the only sign of undersizing, or if there's another way to determine if longer cylinders need to be installed. If what I have is all that the tunica will allow, then I will apologize to Dr. Milam on this forum.

If that should be the case, I wonder if there are any alternatives. I've read several articles in medical journals about treating Peyronie's with an implant, and at the same time making incisions in the tunica all the way around it so that the length of the penis can be increased. As I view things, if the tunica on both sides is cut into two or more pieces, then the only thing that would limit length would be the absolute length of the nerve bundle.

I don't see any references to such surgical techniques on Dr. Eid's site, or on Dr. Kramer's site. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with the incision technique?

I've seldom been as depressed about anything, even my divorce after 45 years, as I am about such a dramatic loss of size. It's a stub.

Hi,

If you read though my post you see I've had this type of surgery, but I'm only 3 weeks out.

It's called the sliding technique, can add up to 3cm of length with it.

According to my surgeon I gained 1.5cm with this technique.
But I'm at the moment sitting at a little bit over 6 inches in length.

With cialis I was about 6.5 before surgery and 7.5 in a Ved.

At the moment I'm trying to stay positive, but it's hard as didn't/haven't got the results I was hoping for.

Also the risks for this type of surgery are very high, as in loss of penis.

I will keep updating my results as I'm sure this type of surgery is of interest to lots of men thinking of implant surgery.

Regards

#1 Inflate daily or twice daily. Some men take months to rgain length. How long ago was your surg3ry?
#2 Search on "penile length restoration by sliding techmique" and permutation of those words.
#3 Think of your comdition before surgery. Would you go back? A working short penis or a long nonworking one?
#4 Many men lose lemgth but gain girth, which is said to be more satisfying to partners.
#5 Time is your friend if you use it wisely
Good luck

Thanks for the replies. 3 cm isn't worth the risk.

I can only hope that Dr. Eid has something positive to say.

If I were married, this wouldn't be as big a deal, but I'm divorced. And seeing younger (as in much younger) women. It's a big deal now.

I had surgery in January, and inflate pretty much every day. Some days I leave it at about 90% inflation for most of the day.

How long did you have ED and peyronies before you had the implant? What caused the ED? How did Milam do the incision?

I've had some degree of ED for probably five or six years. It became more difficult to deal with after my divorce, probably because nervousness entered into the equation. ED I'm sure resulted from decades of heavy drinking and chain smoking.

The Peyronie's came on last year after I'd been doing Trimix injections for several months. I was at about 30 degrees. The largest area of plaque is at the base of the penis on the left side.

Dr. Milam did a pubic incision.

Don

In my younger days, before ED was a problem for me, I too had a nice 6+ inch penis...

But after nearly 20 years of progressively worse ED, my penis had atrophied badly...and when the viagra, Levita, and muse stopped working...all I had was a limp noodle that was only good for urination.

My only option was an implant surgery and my uro was very upfront with me that I would lose some length...according to her it would be somewhere between .5 to 1 inch lost.

At first I was seriously depressed as I desperately wanted to again have the strong virile 6+ inch penis of my youth.

But then I realized that a 6 inch useless penis was not going to do me any good and if I wanted to have sex again, I would have to accept a shorter penis...once I got past this reality, I went forward with the surgery and am now pretty happy with a 4.5 inch penis that gets rock hard.

Look at it this way...the average vagina is between 4 to 5 inches deep, so having a porn star penis is overkill and I know from my younger days, most ladies feel pain if you bottom out on their cervix during sex.

Finally, if the younger lady is really into you, the size of your penis is not something she is really concerned about...she is more interested in the man that's attached to your penis instead.

Once you come to accept your "new normal", you will likely find that there are a lot of positives to having a shorter penis that can stay hard for as long as you need it over a longer penis that never gets hard again

Best regards,
Joe

I was expecting to lose .5 to 1 inch. I wasn't expecting 2 inches. To go from 6.5" in 2013 to 4"+ in 2016 is a shock.

Even though I had ED before, when I tried Viagra for the first time in 2013, I was back to my 6.5" again after many years.

It doesn't matter what the women think. It's what I think about it.

Do you experience any pain or discomfort in the glans area when fully inflated?

Have you tried a VED post surgery? Many claim to have good results with this although its much better if you do it before. It is possible you might use the VED and along with responsible inflation of the device, you may be able to get a larger implant later. I mentioned this to Dr.Eid and he does not agree that it will make any difference but he did say post op pumping with VED is ok. It won't hurt implant. No matter what, it will take some time to get any length back, but from what i have read many are successful.
Good luck, I am going to do surgery sooner rather than later.. This is an issue for me as well.
