Well I did it! Today

Postby beachbum » Wed Sep 14, 2016 4:39 am

Today at 13:30 I go in for my surgery. :) Have to be there at 12:00 to get things started. It's kind of interesting, I'm not nervous, yet, but anxious. I'm sure I will be nervous as it gets closer to surgery time and especially after they take me back and start the prep. Then there's that period of time after they get you back in the room after they are done getting you ready that you just lay there waiting be taken to th OR that you get to think about what's going to happen. I think that's going to be the hardest.
My wife is taking me and bringing me back home this afternoon. She still isn't thrilled with the idea but surprisingly hasn't said anything against it, so maybe there's hope. But no matter, I'm still doing this mainly for me and my own well being.
So the count down is on. Will try to post again later before surgery, if not, then after when I can think.

Back home. All went well according to the nurses and the Dr. He said he put in a 18+3. Go back tomorrow to have the catheder removed and the dressing removed. I also think he deflates it completely. So far only moderate discomfort. So we will see. Now let the healing begin.

Don't be surprised if he doesn't deflate the implant. Most docs like to leave it partially pumped for capsule formation. Many leave it partially inflated until you're activated and ready to begin cycling it yourself. Best of luck & congratulations!

Day 1. Went back to the Dr today. Removed the catheter and bandages. Not too bad. Balls look the size of a large orange. Penis is not too bad. Took a pain pill before I went because I knew he was going to deflate it. He had it up to about 50% after surgery. Pretty much deflated to around 5/10%. Said everything looked good and come back in 3 weeks. We will start to cycle it then. I'm just a little concerned about the tips. When inflated at 50% I could feel them mid gland. Unflated just behind the gland. Sense they went into the gland on inflation I'm not going to be real worried for some time. Wait for the swelling to go down. I asked why he put the AMS CX and not the LGX that expands in length. He said they all expand some in length and the CX is better for girth. So we will see. So far it hasn't been bad. Only took 2 Tylenol last night and the pill today but only because he was deflating it. Other than that really haven't needed anything. So thats the first 24 hours. Oddly enough I already feel better just doing something about the ED. Hopefully it will only get better.

Sounds like you are going to be ok, just remember to take any pain medication on time, because you don't want the pain to start then take a pill. Good luck, you are going to be just fine
