A question about implant replacement

Okay, so I'm a young guy with venous leak. Assuming I get an implant, I almost certainly will need a replacement. My question is: what if the doctor who originally implanted me isn't practicing anymore. Can any other urologist do the replacement, or does it have to be the same doctor you originally went to ?

Lots of surgeons do revisions of other surgeon's work. You won't have any problem finding somebody to take care of you.

To be on the safe side I would recommend that you get and keep a copy of your operational report from your original surgeon. The doc who later does your revision may find it beneficial it preparing for your second surgery.

How many times can a man reasonably expect to have replacements before something horrid happens? Are there guys walking around in their 80s who had their first implant in their 20s and went through 5 or 6 successful replacement surgeries after that? Or is one or two replacement surgeries the realistic limit that you can expect before irreversible scarring, nerve damage, etc. that brings you permanently into "Sex 2.0" waters?
